Can it pritect face from tanning?

Bonnet protects hair, hair color. Tanning lotion protects face/body

How often do you need to replace?

It can be washed gentle cycle & used many times, usually gets replaced when elastic fails

Is there a lifespan for this? I have one but after 2 years my hair faded in the tanning bed while wearing it.

I mostly wear mine during the summer. During the summer my hair lightens being outside in the sun so I don't want my hair to also lighten in the tanning booth. It still is working for me and I have had it since 2015.
