Warman's Depression Glass Handbook: Identification, Values, Pattern Guide

So don't be thrown off by the reviews. I bought this book for my MIL because she was going through her attic and came across a bunch of glass that she didn't know what it was and her only starting point was Google. This is a great reference book for beginners that will help you identify the differences in patterns and what you are looking at. It will ballpark what things are worth. HOWEVER, if you are expecting this book to have the latest pricing, and be the most up to date etc... This should not be your purchase.

I really like this book. It’s fairly easy to identify depression glass pieces using this book. I had tried another depression glass guide but there were few pictures of each piece which made it really hard to identify some of the pieces that I have purchased. This book has a lot of detailed pictures of each type of depression glass. Everything I have come across so far I have been able to identify in this book. The dollar value estimates seem to be in the ballpark on the pieces that I have identified with it. I would recommend this book to others and will purchase another edition if one is released.

Indispensable for anyone with a fascination for collecting depression ware glass. Know what you have.

This book has plenty of photos and drawings to help identify patterns.

This book has lots of color photos in its pattern descriptions. The book starts out with a summary of the types of depression glass and shows the lacing patterns for each one plus a brief description. As you proceed, the book then goes into detail about each pattern and shows great color photos of each pattern. This is a definite read for someone new to collecting depression glass.

Very informative, lots of different patterns. Overall great book!

Purchased for my father and he so appreciates the updated prices and list of even more items.
