I was prescribed this dose of vitamin D at one point. And couldn't get a refill. And found the dose online. A lot of people have a genetic vitamin D deficiency that causes all kinds of problems and doctors don't think about something as simple as vitamin D. One doctor finally did tell me. And after a few months I felt better. My chronic pain and depression were way better. But I didn't realize it could be the vitamin D. So I ran out and stopped taking it and all my symptoms came back. So I've been on this brand for a month now. It takes a few months to raise your vitamin D level sufficiently. I had my blood tested before I started taking it and my vitamin D levels were in fact extremely low. This is a once a week pill. It's the same strength I was prescribed. Although different manufacturers can vary in the actual content of the vitamin D since they are not monitored by the FDA. Once I get a new vitamin D test. I will repost to see if these are really working.

I have post surgical food absorption issues and osteoporosis. This strength of dry Vitamin D3 is critical for my bone health. Thanks to Amazon for carrying.
