Melasma friendly
This item is great! I use it for my melasma and I can definitely tell that it is helping lighten my spots. I use it on alternating days with my retinol. It has a not so great smell that goes away after a while. It also turned a different color after a while but I emailed the brand and they explained that “we would like to confirm that our Multi-Bright Tranexamic Acid Treatment 5% contains two forms of kojic acid. One version that is free flowing and known to shift in color due to oxidation, but also gives immediate benefits and remains active. One that is encapsulated so it retains even more benefits over time and slowly releases the ingredient. Your product will shift in color, but it will remain effective.” I’m already on my second bottle.

I guess I'll buy this until I pass away
I was using hydroquinone but had to take my 3 months off. I was afraid I was going to lose the progress I'd made in my skin, so off to research I went. I found this product, and was highly skeptical. I could tell almost immediately that my pigment was fading instead of darkening during my hydroquinone break. I went to the beach and for the first time ever (sunscreen or not) I did not get any new freckles. I was paler than before I went. So nice! It also seems to help moisture my skin, which is nice since this is closer to the end of my routine. And no breakouts, which happens with nearly everything! Time will tell if I hit a plateau or not, but I'm thrilled so far at 1 month of use.

Causes pilling, color is an oxidized brown and not yellow, no expiration date listed anywhere..
IF you layer your skincare products keep in mind that this will cause pilling. The color advertised is a light yellow and all three of my bottles have shown up looking oxidized. The cream color is supposed to be a light yellow but instead, it’s a brownish mustard color. I’ve really tried to like this product and this is my third bottle but I can’t handle the pilling and the color has me feeling super skeptical. On top of that, there is no manufactured batch date nor is there an expiration date on either the box or the bottle. The only number I can find seems like a lot number on the box and bottle but the sequence of numbers don’t actually show a date. Their website also doesn’t mention how long a product is good for once it’s manufactured.

Naturium has great formaltions
Seems it has already started reducing melasma and fading blemish marks even when only using 2 times a week. I have sensitive skin so I have to build up tolerance. I was able to use Naturium azeliac acid Emulsion daily which also surprisingly helped with melasma I bought that to target maskne. I love natruims formaltions but this one can ball up a little its more of lotion based consistancy but I'm heavy handed when using products. I'm more careful what I put on top and under when using it to avoid balling up. love the mix hard to get a mix like this unless you order from one of those online dermatology custom sites. Naturiums customer service and delivery has been great to me but mostly buy at target. I've been an avid customer from release date can't wait to try more products. Unfortunately I have to move slow with skin type. Other products I've tried and repurchased Fermented Camelia Creamy Cleansing Oil. Love using it to take off makeup and sunscreen plus it gives a nice massage slip for face I feel little particles lift from my skin more I massage. I've bought countless tubes or Azeliac Emulsion my teens use it too. I might switch to the other Naturiums tranexamic acid products because of the small balling issue which is probably user error but the other products is more serum texture which looks interesting.

Terrible, oily texture that never absorbs into skin
Great ingredients list but it feels SO SO oily, like it sits on top of my skin and is never absorbed, will not be repurchasing this even though I have seen my dark sun spots fade a bit. I only use it at night because of the terrible texture.

My skin loves this.
Very moisturizing! I use this after my retinol serum as a moisturizer. It has a funky color but feels great putting on and my skin loves it. It’s been a few weeks and I wasn’t expecting any results for a while but I can already see some improvement. Will definitely repurchase.

Works, but dark color is very noticeable on the skin
I think this product does work, as I have noticed a difference in marks from prior breakouts. I also haven't experienced any irritation from using it. Unfortunately, it is a real pain to use because of its dark yellow-brown color (think deli mustard). It doesn't sink in and disappear into the skin; it sits on top of the skin and is very noticeable. I thought I was just being overly critical, but no: my mother told me that my "new makeup" is a poor match and encouraged me to blend better. Ouch. It also tends to pill when used in combination with other skincare, which is just as annoying as the color. Ideally, it should be used morning and night, but I can really only use it at night because of its unacceptable appearance. I emailed Naturium about the dark color, and they said that it was due to the kojic acid, which oxidizes and gets darker but remains effective (?). Not sure if I believe that oxidized kojic acid still works... I'm not impressed with the quality or customer service from Naturium: it's ridiculous that this product was already oxidized before it was even opened, and I think I should have been offered a refund. I won't be repurchasing because the color of the product bothers me too much. Wish I'd spent my money on something that's better formulated and easier to use.
