Battery Powered Electric Pencil Sharpener
Great sharpener for regular (#2) size pencils and smaller, sharpens perfect. However, be aware the opening is not large enough to load larger diameter pencils sometimes used by little ones. It's great that its battery operated and can be used anywhere. It has an easy see thru pencil shavings case, so you know when it full which easily snaps off and on to dispose of the shavings.

Incredible performance for such a small, inexpensive sharpener
I bought this to sharpen my fairly expensive soft wax (Prismacolor) and oil -based (Faber-Castell Polychromos) colored pencils. PERFECTION! Not a single lead has broken and all sharpen to a super fine and sharp point, although there is also an option on the sharpener for flatter points. Prismacolors in particular are noted for their cores breaking, but they have held up since I bought this several months ago. I ended by temporarily bed-ridden due to an accident and I spent a lot more time than usual coloring and doing art work. This sharpener was a life saver as it did not have to be plugged in and it sharpened everything quickly. I am still on the same batteries so it is long-lasting also. For best results, sharpen a few graphite pencils once in a while to rid the blade of colored pencil buildup.

3rd time purchasing in 10 years
I do a lot of coloring with colored pencils in Adult coloring books. As I have gotten older I have really gotten into coloring with different pencils, some soft core, some water color pencils and others regular. Due to using all different kinds of pencils, I worried would an Electric Pencil Sharpener work for color pencils. I assumed they were different than regular #2 pencils. They aren’t. I have been using this particular brand for 10 years and find it works excellent for all my different pencils. I like that it’s not heavy but has little black grippy pads on the bottom so it stays put while you are sharpening. It is electric as mentioned so you do have to be by an outlet or run an extension cord which isn’t my first choice, but I am lucky enough to have an outlet fairly close and out of the way to where I color. This comes in several colors so you can leave it out and it does blend in with your decor. The shavings tank which is plastic comes off rather easily with just a little tug and snaps on just as easily for a nice fit. I have never had an issue with it cracking or not fitting on well. My only draw back but not enough to take a star off for is that it doesn't empty easily out of the shaving tank. I usually tap the motor part agains my bag so that the shavings that may have stayed around the cylinder comes out, which it does, but the tank itself has a lip on it that makes you have to shake out the shavings in multiple turns as if your spinning it around to get them out. Not a big enough deal to take a star off but just a bit of an annoyance if you forget and go to replace the tank back on and the unshed shavings fall all over outside of your sharpener. I've only done it once but thought I would mention.

Sharpens well...but
This is a good little sharpener. But... I took off one star because it's a little tippy. It stands on two pads underneath, one small round pad in the back and one longer one under the front area where the pressure is applied to sharpen pencils. The back pad does not give enough stability, so it easily tips over. Also, as other reviewers mentioned, it's a bit tricky to remove the clear plastic piece in front to remove the shavings.

Sharpen away!
I like this pencil sharpener. It runs on batteries so you don’t have to deal with a cord and plug. You can take it anywhere. It works very well and doesn’t bog down. It sharpens the pencils very well, it even sharpens colored pencils. In fact I have even used it on some makeup pencils. For the size and the power it has I would say it is worth buying. I have had mine for a very long time and it still works great!

Easy to use and works perfectly every time!
I just love my PowerMe pencil sharpener! It was easy to find batteries for it, and the seller's use instructions were clear and accurate. I use pencils a lot, and I used to sharpen them at the public library. I ordered the PowerMe sharpener because the library has been closed during the COVID crisis. I'm so happy with the PowerMe pencil sharpener that now I wish I would have purchased one long ago. Right after I inserted the batteries, I sharpened dozens of dull pencils! It was amazingly quick and easy to get them super-sharp, and I was able to do that on the first try with every pencil! It's fun using this sharpener, and now when the pencil I'm using gets even slightly dull, I just stick it in the sharpener--and in one or two seconds, it's super sharp again! I also love the cute, sleek, compact appearance of this sharpener and the transparent side compartment that allows me to see how much it's filling up with pencil shavings. I considered many pencil sharpeners before choosing this one, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! I would recommend this pencil sharpener to anyone!

Worked well for occasionally use only ( ~100 x pencils sharpened)
I bought this and used it occassionally for my drawing pencils for almost 5 years. ( I mostly use ink) The motor still works, but the sharpener is now wonky (moves around off-balance) and it no longer works. I hate to send anything to the landfill. Giving this a 4 for 5 years, but -1 due to the fact that it will end up in a landfill too soon. I may do some surgery on it to see if it is fixable. And I will be going back to my little hand held sharpeners.
