BSFF Thermal Paste, 3.5g with Toolkit CPU Paste Thermal Compound Paste Heatsink for IC/Processor/CPU/All Coolers, Carbon Based High Performance

Good stuff. Clean back of processor and corresponding face of heatsink with some Isopropyl Alcohol (you can get that on here too if you need it) to remove all traces of any previous thermal paste and grease. Apply a pea size blob (or an X shape - personally I find the pea easier to gauge as you need just the right amount) to the back of the processor (yes, you'll have a lot left over afterwards) and fit sink to processor in one movement. What you are after is a complete contact between the face of the heatsink and the processor, as thin as possible but without any air spaces. Try not to move it around once contact has been made. Lock sink into place using screws or clips as fitted to sink casing. Easier than it sounds in practice. The great thing about this particular paste, apart from being effective, is that it is electrically non-conductive - so if a bit does squeeze out onto the motherboard it isn't going to do any damage. Try to avoid this though as it does look a mess!

Bought this as my thermal paste supply was chewed by my dog. Was more than impressed with what came out the box. Decent instructions, a cleaning wipe to clear away the old residue off the cpu and the heatsink and a spatula to even;y apply the paste to the surface. Only reason it lost a star was the angle of the end of the spatula/spreader. i would've preferred a flat/straight edge as opposed to the angled one.

Did a great job. And there is plenty left in the tube if we need it.

Fast delivery, simple application

I had a small batch of 10 year-old HP mini PCs to service and wanted to do a thorough job by replacing the heatsink compound. This has reduced the full load temperature of them all by around 2 to 3°C and will probably last until they're obsolete. Room temperature was around 25°C at the time and the paste was very easy to apply at this temperature. For those complaining that it's too thick to apply easily, maybe try sitting the tube in a mug of warm water for a few minutes before applying. At this price, I wouldn't expect the best of the best, but it was certainly plenty good enough for the job at hand.
