At first I was hesitant because the ones that I bought before were small. But this time upon reading the reviews found there's a lot of positive feedback especially regarding its height and was sturdy. When I saw the delivery box, it seems small but when I open it I realized, it is not small, twice big from my previous ones. It is sturdy too and quality is good based on the price. I bought before with the same price but too small for my 1.5 year old cat. My cats loved it too , 1 started climbing and seating on top of the post.

I tried putting the cat paws on it, nails don't even hook on, even tried a steet cat and forced it's nails on it, cat just gave me a disappointed look, like I could've chosen better, then it went at it on my pottery barn couch... This just looks scratchable but really it's just roap wrapped around a pole. Cats like fabric only. I usually put 5 stars for a 5 star or 5 stars for a no star product... This is the other one

Excellent and very stable

I bought this scratching post for my two adult cats, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I was a bit worried when I saw how thin the base was in pictures, but it's actually much sturdier than I expected. My cats are pretty big and active, and even when they're really going at it, the post doesn't tip over. It stays put, which is a huge relief. The height of the post is the best part. At 80cm, it's perfect for a full-grown cat to get a proper, full-body stretch. That's a really important thing for their health and for keeping them from scratching up my couch. The jute material on the post is also a big win. It's a natural fiber that they really seem to enjoy digging their claws into, and it's holding up well after a few months of use. It's much better than a carpeted scratching post which can feel too soft for a cat who really wants to sharpen their claws. The only real downside for me is the little dangling toy at the top. It's a fun idea, but my cats ripped it off in about 30 seconds. So if you're buying this, don't expect the toy to last long. It's a minor thing, though, since the main purpose is the scratching post itself, and it excels at that. Overall, if you're looking for a simple, tall, and sturdy scratching post that's a good value for the money, this is a fantastic choice, even for adult cats.
