This custom "dust cover" is well–made, and it fits perfectly in a Kinu M47 grinder. It has a kind of two level design, not just a flat piece of silicone. By prying it back a little it can be left in place to add beans. But I don't know if it's entirely necessary, because beans don't popcorn out when grinding in my experience.. Still, it is an affordable and nice accessory for this great coffee grinder.

This thing is great. Very well built. Thick strong rubber. I've been using it for months and it's still going strong. No rips or breaking and cracking. Really wonderful purchase. And most importantly... no beans shooting out of the grinder. Yup, it works.

I was surprised by the quality and fit of this silicone cover. It is thick, sturdy, and looks like a part of the original Kinu design. It fits securely and prevents beans from jumping out of the hopper while grinding.

This worked on Kinu Simplicity. But it's not so easy to remove and replace. I ended up not using it as I don't get popcorning issue when I use 7g dose. Making espresso is a tense process for me. Even a small issue during taking the silicone lid off and putting it back on makes me feel agitated. I guess you will find this cover useful if you grind large doses or your beans pop out while grinding. Btw you will need to remove the cover completely to put the beans in.

It arrived earlier than expected, and fits the M47 perfectly. I no longer have little bits of coffee bean flying all over the place (no more popcorning).
