Worked for uploading old CD's to my MacBook. Easy, inexpensive.

Arrived yesterday. Had no issues installing on windows 11. I sat and played a music CD to try it out. Worked great. Am very satisfied with my purchase. Haven't tried burning anything but eventually will down the road.

I run Ubuntu and this drive has worked perfectly as both a player and a burner for CD's so far. More info. below. I'm only going to give 4 stars for now because I just got the drive and I haven't tested it thoroughly. The review may go up or down with time. For example, I've only tried CD's so far, not DVD's yet. I don't know why the advertisement would say that it works on linux, but that it doesn't work on Ubuntu. Typically, Ubuntu is one of the most "It just works" distros out there. For example, I run Ubuntu because I have an Nvidia graphics card and Arch doesn't play nice with nvidia, especially if you want to run the proprietary Nvidia drivers, which I did because nouveau is not nearly as good as proprietary with my card.

Great quality for the price. Now I can watch dvds on my laptop.

works fine with my macbook air. a little bit noisy. 3 stars because it does not work with blu ray disc. i tried a couple but it doesnt run.

I bought this as a quick order item that I just needed something that could get to my house fast without doing a lot of research. It works absolutely amazing and is so easy and you are friendly. You literally pull it out and plug it in and it’s ready to go!!

This External cd/dvd drive appears to work fine. I just plugged it in and it comes with regular USB C and an adapter for the newer USB also. THE ONLY THING I DON’T LIKE, IS THE POWER CORD IS ONLY 4” long. They tell you not to use an extension usb cord because it may not work properly. It is good for a laptop sitting on a desk but when you have to use it on a Desktop / Tower the cord makes very difficult to use it easily. FOR THIS REASON I MAY RETURN IT. FOR A LAPTOP OR DESK TOP RIGHT NEXT TO YOU, ITS GOOD. THE SHORT CORD IS AN ANNOYANCE.

It works perfectly. I am able to read my 10 year old cds and dvds.

disconnectting in less than a minute when u plugin. Tried in multiple system -not recommended .

Product is good. I was able to read the cd and dvd, but I wasn't able to copy the data.

Some time it didn't read the data.
