Hunter 82023 Ventilation Belle Meade Bathroom Exhaust Fan and Light with Hand-Painted Snowflake Glass (Bathroom Vent Fan, Exhaust Fan)

We purchased a home that came with loud bath fans. I mean it sounded like a helicopter was landing in the bathroom. For all their noise, the old fans didn't clear humidity from the bathrooms. I took a day to install this fan and another Hunter model in two of our bathrooms along with timer switches and insulated ducting to the roof vents, and the results have been all I'd hoped. The moisture is under control, and the noise the new fans generate is hardly noticeable. The Hunter fans are also much more attractive than the contractor-grade Nutone units they replace.Note that these take far longer to install in existing applications than the 45 minutes claimed by Hunter in their instruction manual. Also, these don't come with the 3/8" power cord tension relief required for the installation...acquiring this part meant an unwelcome trip to the hardware store in the middle of the job for me. Overall the installation is not difficult, but it does require time and attention.I have experience installing other bath fans and don't perceive the Hunter brand to be any better or worse than other brands. We selected these because we liked their appearance.Amazon delivered timely and the item arrived in fine condition, as is the norm for Amazon in my experience.

Wasn't sure if these fans would really "work" like regular bathroom fans. When the electriciain put them in, he said "oh yea, they're just like the regular fans only with this different lamp. Well, he put them in and boy, are they nice! They look great-the fan part works great and is very quiet. I love them. I had 2 put in. I also bought the fan timers that you can set for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc and had them installed. Feel like I have a whole new bathroom. Would highly recommend these fans.

Im not too sure what any one else is hearing but in my very small bath room, this thing makes very little noise. I cant really hear it over the faucet let alone the shower. Its possible that im one of the very few lucky ones that didnt get a defective unit or perhaps that mine was installed correctly, it works as intended. After all, I am a maintenance technician for a company with over 2000 units.Im not saying my unit didnt have flaws like the nut that secures the globe to the light base wasnt threaded properly so it was difficult to get on but now that its on, that nut goes on and back off very easily. The threads are also not centered on the nut but you donty know that once its on. I didnt read the instructions as I dont really need to but, when lining the light base up to the blower mount, the pins are labelled A, B, C, D, and the light base holes are labeled the same but if you line A up with A and so on, the base id off set and the blower box is exposed. Rotating 180 degrees fixes that issue. Perhaps thats mentioned in the instructions but as I stated, I did not read them.Once the new bath room is completed, Ill update this review with photos and video but until then, dont be put off by those that seem confused by how these are installed. . . .

Very attractive, very well made. Easy to install, and has a very quiet, smooth running fan. My only caution is that the opaque glass that covers the light bulbs is very thick. And while it looks quite beautiful when lit, it doesn’t allow a lot of light through. I have other lights in my bathroom to supplement this one, so it’s not a problem for me. But if this were the only light in the room, I feel it would likely seem too dim for most people.

This fixture is a big improvement over the loud, industrial-looking chrome fixture we had before. My husband was able to install it without much difficulty. It is a little noisier than we had hoped, but the fixture gives off a warm light and the oil-rubbed bronze matches our faucets beautifully.

We had 3 installed when we built our house. All 3 of them don't work half the time or make a horrible loud sound of they do. This happend after about 2 years on two of them and after 3 years on the other.

Beautiful lamp fixture and super quiet fan motor. You can almost not hear it. Great product and super easy to install.You cannot use full sized bulbs in it.You will need to buy 2 size A19 LED bulbs. Get the highest wattage you can find in that size as the globe dims and colors the light output a warm yellow color. All in all, a great product for the price.

I absolutely love the look of this fan light! Much more appealing than the ugly plastic fan that was in the master bath previously. The fan is pretty quite and it seems to go a good job moving the steam out of my small bathroom. The light does not give off that much light but it is enough, especially when I am just waking up in the morning. This is not the only light source in my bathroom and so the extra light is a bonus.
