how long did your last before it ruined? not ran out but just ruined from expiration? how long after expiration date does it last? thanks!

You're supposed to replace your mascara every three months or so, so I wouldn't advising keeping it for a year. Because it goes near your eye, it can pick up a lot of bacteria and transmit an eye infection to you. That said, it doesn't expire any faster than any other mascara as far as I know.

Is this mascara waterproof?

It is not. I wish I'd known that, but like another reviewer has mentioned, knowing ahead of time that this mascara is not waterproof/smudgeproof might help you appreciate the positives. Will absolutely reduce eye irritation and improve lash health, but wouldn't be my first choice on days I know I will rub my eyes frequently or go to see a sad movie.

Does it flake off easily?

Yes, I use organic virgin coconut oil to remove my mackeup and it comes out easily! Excelent mascara I really recomend it! But it doesn't flake off when using it!
