Early review on this item is that it’s sturdy, well balanced and sharp. It should never have to endure extreme use but will be used often in light to moderate situations. How soon and often it needs sharpening will dictate how quickly I return to update this review

It already comes sharp and it's handy for gardening and clearing some branches. Used it as well to trim of the dead banana plants that the winter did damage on.

This length is great. No need for anything longer unless you’re cutting a trail in the jungle. The handle is perfect and the blade is very sturdy and not flimsy. The really tall blades don’t work well because you can’t change the angle and back-cut against the tree. A 4-5” tall blade will ONLY allow the blade to travel straight. This blade allows the knife to be manipulated for a cut against a tree trunk (of sorts) with a change in angle. I hope you get what I’m saying. It’s a killer knife. The shape couldn’t be better.

This unfortunately got very dull pretty quickly and there's also chips in the blade. I'm getting one of those Japanese grass tools instead.
