I bought this Pen-Cam for my Daughter. She needed something to at least record audio with & what better than to use a Pen-Cam which she could write like notes while recording conversations between herself & her Ex's Girlfriend. There had been all kinds of crap being said, the old, She-Said-He Said & She-Said-She Said.... Since there had been different stories being told, my Daughter wanted to make sure, 100% that she had ''All-The-Facts''.. As it turned out, my Daughter's oldest son, (Yes my Grandson) had been telling the truth & the Girlfriend, well, she wasn't being very honest... I'd certainly recommend this Pen-Cam to anyone that needed something reliable, compact with very clear Video & great sounding Audio... My Daughter never told me if the total run time was what the seller claimed but when I tested it, I used it in the evening, with minimal lighting & in the family room, it recorded crystal clear Audio & Video. I recorded aiming at our 55'' Flat Screen Television during a movie my Wife was watching for 20 minutes before walking through the house going through rooms with very bright lighting, then into rooms where I could adjust the brightness of the lighting with the Dimmer Switch.... Although the way it's setup, it records in 5 minute tracks, but the recording continues to record using the 5 Minute Loops, without missing a second of whatever was going on. I found that amazing..... Hope I was able to help anyone reading this review that is interested in getting one of these $25-$35 Pen-Cams......

UPDATE: PLEASE READ THE END: Really wanted to love these. We have a bad neighbor who is threatening us so we wanted to wear these anytime we went out. Initially they worked great and the footage was not bad for what they are. Also the audio was pretty good and was quite pleased. My wife and I used them for a total of 6 times for a total of about 2 hours total. (we take 20 minute walks in the evening with our dogs). All of a sudden after two weeks they just stopped working. The blue light (test) would come on and you would think it was recording but then no footage would be recorded. I tried turning off the pens, erasing memory, etc multiple times. They just don't record anything anymore. I am hoping the seller sees this and is able to replace them. Again, i really wanted to like these but if they only work for a couple weeks its such a waste of money. I would expect these to last at least 12-18 months with normal use. Updated: customer service had reached out to help based on our initial 2 star review. The apologized and said they would send out a replacement (message was on Oct 10th). They gave no definitive date and no follow up. I am guessing they were hoping that we would just forget about. I hate to downgrade the two star to a one star but needed to be done. Things happen and I totally get it (perhaps defective item) but not following up seem disingenuous. They did say "will arrange the replacement soon". Soon as in a few days or soon as in a few months?

I like that it comes with a clear set of instructions and the playback quality is pretty decent for what you pay for. Its a pen camera so don't get your hopes too high that you'll get 4k quality, you won't but for what it is it's very good.

These were to be used along with the sunglasses camera, however, the sunglasses were not working. Fortunately for me, these work great and since I will use along with my cellphone camera in my top pocket along with my pen, I will still have multiple videos of proof the next time the cops try to steal my disability money claiming that it is drug money

Well made. Works as described. If you forget if its recording or not, simply hold the button down and observe the color of the light. It's not hard. 32 Gb is a little more than three hours of video with sound. Battery lasts three hours. Requires area to be brightly lit. I charge it once a week when not in-use. I reset the date/time immediately after saving the text file (but before closing the text file). Works for me. I bought another one.

Video quality isn't as good as a phone's camera. The company offers good customer service though, they also said they'd try to make improvements on their device.

This pen is very handy and convenient for recording any events or occasions which did not distract others. The quality of this short video clip is superb comparing to any average camcorder or iPhone. Just bought this pen almost 2 Months and used many times and all turned out very sharp recording clips. Also bought some other brand names, but love this one with the small feature on top of pen: camera cover protection. recommend to whoever would like to carry and use this tiny/spy camera for personal use.
