We used these to hang party lights around the perimeter of a backyard pine tree with lower branches that are about 8’ above the ground. Worked out well - quick to put up and take down.

These hooks are perfect...I use them for hanging plants indoors and out (covered porch) and for my bird feeders. Good quality and sturdy.
