Rust-Oleum 358833 Specialty Outdoor Fabric Paint, Olive Green

I purchased 6 cans to paint two small recliners; yes, to do it correctly you will need at least three cans for a small arm chair (front, back arms, sides, etc.). Make sure you brush the fabric first. It will take several passes to get an even coat. Break down the work if you can, as you do get hand fatigue using a spray can. The bad news: all 6 cans stopped spraying after using about a quarter of the can. I had to stop and clean out the spray nozzle several times for each can. I’m a professional woodworker and I know how to use a spray can. This was very frustrating. Eventually, one can just stopped spraying so I lost half a can. My suggestion is, if you can find a different brand, try it. RustOleum just made this simple project a real headache. A company like this should know how to produce a proper spray can.

This is not a product review-as I never used or even opened the shipping box. This is a WARNING that you can not return this product. I purchased this paint to use on several outdoor cushions. When I began cleaning/prepping the cushions, it became apparent they were not worth painting. The fabric was falling apart. I immediately went online to set up a return. NO RETURNS ALLOWED.

I’m not sure why all the negative reviews. I previously washed the cushions and pulled them outside in the sun and started spraying evenly and then using a paintbrush to really apply it deeper. No splochy-ness. At some point on a couple cans the nozzle would I guess get clogged (pressure would build up, wouldn’t spray and nozzle would pop off) so I would switch it out from another can and then it would start working again. Took me just a few hours and they all look brand new. The blue is the old look and green was the new. Much cheaper than new cushions so this was a solid 10/10 purchase!

Pretty easy to use, the coverage was not as good as I had hoped, but it worked pretty well. I used this to paint dining room chairs. I covered a rather dark color, so it probably would have covered easier had I used it on a lighter color surface to start. I am quite pleased with the results.

This product is amazing and transformed my pillows and was so easy to use. Instead of going to have them reupholstered it saved me lots of money! Will definitely use again!
