50653 Power Out Odor-X Whole Car Blast - 2.5 Fl Oz.

What a GREAT product!! I purchased this Turtle Wax Power Out Odor eliminators in March of 2018 and waited to comment on them until I could Approve or disapprove whether this product worked (or not). I purchased a one (1) owner 2009 Hyundai Tucson in August of 2017 and noticed a slight cigarette odor immediately, but the salesman said that the owner didn't smoke and it was just that the vehicle was so dirty and nasty inside and out and after they cleaned it up it would be good as new. Well they cleaned it up and off I went. By the time I drove 50 + miles home, the full odor was back and worse. The smell good stuff that they put in cars to sell them usually don't last long, but the cigarette odor in this SUV tells me the person who had this vehicle since new, had a really bad smoking problem. I smoked for almost forty (40) years myself but never in a small enclosed area, so after not smoking for twenty one (21) years +, I can detect that particular smell easily. So before I even got home, I went to the auto parts store and bought four (4) BOMBS and set all of them off while still n the parking lot. After waiting about an hour I drove home. After the vehicle sat over night in the garage, I got in the next morning to go and was happy with the smell inside...until I turned on the a/c. It made me sick to my stomach, all cigarette, no smell good!! Since then I have bought Five (5) different brands of BOMBS and with all of those, the sickening odor was still there. Back in March of 2018 I saw on Amazon this Turtle Wax Brand of car odor killer. I said why not try one more time, so I did. That is why I waited until now (June) to give my review. I set a BOMB off one day and the other five days later. The new car smell IS STILL there!! I have always used the Turtle Wax Brand products for cleaning and protecting my vehicles. Turtle Wax Power Out for odors really got the bad smell practically completely gone. There is a very light odor still, but a can of this every six months will keep it pleasant inside. Hard to believe this little can does such a huge job!! Definitely recommend this product!!!!

My truck had an awful mildew smell when I turned the air conditioner on. I tried 3 other products and none of them worked. This product worked and my car smells like a new vehicle vs. the old mildew smell.

I bought a 2011 Camry from a very heavy smoker. Driving home the smell of the smoke was enough to make me regret buying the car. Really nasty. I turned to Amazon for a solution and found Turtle Wax Power out. Bought 2 cans and waited from them to arrive. When the cans arrived I removed the cabin air filter, started the car, set the air conditioning on high, and set the vents to recirculate. I placed one of the cans of Power Out in a cup holder, set off valve on the can which sprayed a mist up into the air, and shut the door. I waited for 2 hours and then turned off the car. I kept the windows up and the doors closed for another 24 hours. After 24 hours I opened the doors and aired out the car. Then I got in and drove. The cigarette smell was 100% GONE! Admittedly it took 2 days for the smell of the Power Out fade... I kept the second can expecting the smell would come back. I am 2 months down the road and the smell of the cigarettes is still gone... the car smells like *NOTHING* 5 Stars!!! Cheap and 100% effective.

It smells good at first. For once you drop it in your car and let it run out. After after a little bit of time it kind of smells funky weird. I don't have a smelly car I keep my car extremely clean. I just don't like using air fresheners that don't last and work. I was looking for something that holds a good smell for a long time. It doesn't pretty good job but it's just over time the smell gets weird. Maybe I'll get used to it. But overall it works really good.

We purchased these after many reviews. We purchased a used van that had been owned by an elderly male with a dog and had been parked for several years. The van smelled terrible and we look for something to help clear the smell. I read many reviews on this product and finally decided to give it a go. The product was super easy to use. After sitting for so long, the smell was into everything. With having to run the vehicles air system, it helped to remove the odor from the AC and heat system. We used one can and there was a big difference. We cleaned all the interior and set off the second can. The smell is gone. I have this product save just in case we need it again. The smell is strong when you first set off the can but like anything smell, it will dissipate over the are and over time.

UPDATE: The scent from this product lasted in the car for a solid month, but once it faded the original odor was still there. Our experience was that this was more of a cover up than an odor eliminator. I wouldn't purchase this product again. We got these to get rid of the slight musty/dog odor in a used car we purchased recently. I think they worked, but it is hard to tell whether the odor is gone or the scent from this car blast is just covering it up. Immediately after use the smell was almost too much to even be in the car, and a week later it is still incredibly strong. It covered pretty much everything (as designed), but I didn't anticipate that the scent would attach itself to my clothing every time I got in the car for the next several days. To illustrate how strong the scent is: I was wearing a pair of winter gloves when I activated the canister and some of the spray got on one of the gloves so I put the gloves in the wash with a load of clothes. Rather than removing the smell from the glove, after running the washing machine the entire load smelled like the car blast! Also, this smells nothing like "new car smell", more like an out of control floral scented yankee candle. Bottom line is it was effective at eliminating/covering up the smell we wanted to get rid of, but I would probably try something different next time. I will try to update this review in a few weeks once the scent (hopefully) fades and I can tell if the original odor is gone - it is supposed to last for 30 days according to the manufacturer.

Bought a car at auction. There were no keys and it was locked. Once we got the key made and opened the car OMG!! It was an absolute stinker! The previous owner had basically been using the back seat area as a garbage can with sacks of rotting food like from drive thru. The car had been sitting shut up for 2 years. I physically felt sick when in the car the smell was so bad. We tried an automotive detailing company and they tried every trick in the book - nothing. We soaked the carpets with a name brand fabric odor destroyer - nothing. My husband saw a commercial for this and immediately had me call around - no one carried it - too new. Head to Amazon and there it was. Followed the directions and crossed our fingers. It smelled great we immediately put the car up for sale. The man that bought it said "my wife loves that it's never been smoked in and still has the faint new car smell". We high-fived and ran to the bank :)
