Update August 2023: I still love this mat. It has been a wonderful addition to my craft room. I wanted to give a warning to others, however. I thought I had properly protected the surface when I did a glass etching project. Sigh....I guess a little splatter escaped my protection and made a tiny etched spot on my mat. I could have cried! Luckily, it was small and up near the top, and so I made a sublimated transparent sticker to go over and disguise the tiny etched spot. But I would have preferred to not have to do that, of course. Beware! Do not do a glass etching project on this mat, no matter how careful you are. Learn from my stupidity. Original review: I was hesitant to buy this because of the price, but boy is it a beaut! I love that the mat doesn't slip around. That was always a struggle with my previous Cricut mat. I love the magnetic properties of this mat, and the built-in grid. It's just gorgeous! It's easy to clean up - paints and stains clean up with ease. Apparently, you can cut right on the mat, but I haven't been brave enough to do this (too afraid of scratching the mat). I find myself putting down silicone mats over the top to protect this mat from possible harm, haha....I guess I will get over that in time. I ended up getting the largest of the mats and I'm glad I did. It feels big enough to contain my mess, and I like that the mat is a full yardstick-measurement in width, even though the grid only goes to 34". From one edge of the glass to the other edge of the glass is 36".

I have used glass boards for more than 7 years, and I upgraded to magnetic one this time. It’s the best thing I’ve purchased this year! It’s not heavy compared to other boards. But it has everything a card maker needs: size guides, magnetic features to hold everything in place while coloring or stenciling, wide area to work in, and a glass surface to easily work and clean.

This is absolutely beautiful! I had to wait quite a while until I could afford it but it’s a great addition to my creative space. I’ve used a glass mat before but the magnetic backing is awesome. This is the perfect size for my desk and it’s a substantial piece of glass. Definitely worth the investment!

I debated forever before i bought this as I already have another brand black glass mat and a metal magnetic mat that both serve me well. But for some reason ( and a birthday excuse) I had to have this. I like its large size so I can keep the magnets on the edges and still have enough work space. I especially like the gray color—before I had to use the much smaller white rectangle on the black mat when I couldn’t see small bits and pieces on the black mat or vice versa. And now I have the durability and easy to clean glass surface with the ability to use magnets all in one. Did I really need it? I just wish I had known about this before I bought the others—then it would have been a true necessity for my crafting. It’s an improvement over nothing else.

As expected, this is a lovely little work surface - exactly as pictured. I was surprised by the weight of the board. It's very sturdy and will work nicely to support my projects!

Pros: 1. heat resistant- I can use my heat press and heat tools without warping the board 2. easy cleanup- alcohol ink, glue, etc comes off easily 3. you can cut on it with exacto/craft blades Cons: 1. You need special magnets to use the magnetic feature. 2. The glass is atop the measuring graphic, which sometimes makes measuring things weird because of the depth/shadow between surface and measuring graphic. That said, my mat was a big investment purchase, and I would 100% do it again. But I'd also buy the magnets to go with it at the same time.

I gave this glass mat with magnets to my crafty sister for her birthday. She loves it! She uses it for stenciling handmade cards. The magnets hold cardstock and stencils perfectly and cleans easily with a wipe from a shamy. This item comes in many sizes, colors and patterns

So excited to have this for my craft room. The mint color is amazing and the magnetic aspect is great for stencils and keeping things from moving around.

Having looked at Glassboard Studio glass mats for quite a few years, I was chuffed to bits to find them on Amazon uk. The Color Burst 18" x 24" is a beautifully designed magnetic glass mat. It’s solid, sturdy, heavy and high quality. Due to the thickness of the glass, you’ll need to invest in some heavy duty magnets to get the full benefit of the mat. You’ll never need another glass mat (except maybe in a different size of this!). I can’t recommend it highly enough - I absolutely LOVE it!

I have been wanting a white glass mat with magnetic backing for months. Saw a review by a crafter online for this specific company's. Amazon had it at a great price so I ordered it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! Love the white colour--so easy to see ink colours etc. The magnetic backing is great!! If people would read the description of the type of magnet you need, they would not be giving this a poor review. I use the bar magnets from my MISTI & it holds the paper along with my stencil easily. No slipping or sliding of stencil. It is awesome at how easy it is to stencil for my card making. And how much easier it is to clean up after doing this. I bought the 13.5 X 18" mat. It is the perfect size--not too big & not too small. I love this mat!!!
