Works well....instructions wouldn't be great

A good little unit. I used it to run some tests on whether or not LED tape would work OK with our rig. Addressing was pretty straightforward, as long as you're used to dip switch addressing. The terminals are slightly delicate, so some care is needed when installing, but as long as you carry out checks before use, there shouldn't be a problem. It uses wired inputs for DMX, as opposed to xlr, so you'll need to make sure you have the appropriate tails available. More robust units are definitely available, or ones that include xlr inputs, but for an entry test-bed, this was very good.

While the product is rated for a 24V input, it drops almost 4V when asked to output at 100% (making what should be 100% brightness more like 83% brightness). There are other products of a similar price range that don't do this, so it's a pretty big performance failure of the module. Untested at lower input voltages, hopefully it's not the same for those.

Didn't work for my setup.

A compact driver with a full set of address switches on the side. DMX in and out terminals are looped to make for easy wiring. Runs cool even with 3.2 metres of 12v RGBW tape attached.

I have never used a DMX setup before and was originally looking for a twelve channel unit to try out however when this one came up I thought it would be a good place to learn how and what to use with it. For anyone that has used and knows how to set these up then you will find that for a small four channel unit this is a very good option and without breaking the bank. For testing I wired this up to four separate LED strips and then had to find a control cable to run commands from my MacBook, as I didn't really know what I was looking for I had to do some reading up but eventually managed to get a combined cable/adapter that seemed to be a good fit for the project. To check that everything was working I manually switched the different LED strips through this device and found it to work brilliantly. The strips came on at set levels instantly and could be separately controlled, so as everything looked to be working well my next step was to find some software to control the DMX capabilities, unfortunately this is as far as I have got so far. MacBooks always seem to be harder to find relevant software for than Windows machines and with other pressing matters I have had to put this project aside for now. That said, as far as I did get showed that this is a quality DMX control and decoder unit which works and switches very fast as a DMX unit needs to be. Once I get back to this I will update this review if anything changes but I am very optimistic that this is going to be a great opening into the music and lighting world.

For a entry level dmx decoder this is a great unit, very basic, good vallue for money, compact size and works well. Very easy set up and appears to be well made, sturdy unit.

This is a straightforward DMX LED strip controller that incorporates some useful troubleshooting features. It's very easy to use, with simple DIP-switches for addressing and large terminal blocks that accommodate wires thicker than you'll ever need. This RGBW Channel DMX Decoder is made of good quality material. It can be used for a variety of dimmable lamps, also suitable for advertising modules ,light bars, etc. The DMX512 can control the general LED lighting. One month now and still good as new. Recommended 👍

N'a pas fonctionné, j'ai basculé sur un modèle à branchement dmx direct sans conversion rj45 peut être un problème de câble je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de faire d'autres tests avec d'autres câbles

È un dispositivo interessante perché ha alcune impostazioni, diciamo, avanzate, che in altri casi non ho trovato. Un punto a sfavore può essere che per la connessione DMX è necessario usare un connettore RJ45, quindi va bene se l’impianto utilizza già cavi di rete, altrimenti occorre crimpare un connettore o procurarsi un adattatore (esistono adattatori con morsetti. Altra piccola noia può essere il fatto che il display non si spegne mai. Se l’interfaccia è in vista lo si può coprire facilmente, comunque. Circa le impostazioni. Le impostazioni avvengono attraverso i tre pulsanti e il display, in modo abbastanza agevole. La frequenza degli impulsi di controllo, in questo dispositivo è variabile tra 250 e 16000 cicli al secondo, in sette passi. Con 250, in caso di foto o video si vedranno probabilmente delle bande chiaroscure, Come specificato nel manuale, una più alta frequenza è più adatta se si devono usare videocamere ma causa una limitazione nella corrente disponibile e un maggiore rumore elettrico (disturbi radio). Può funzionare con voltaggio da 12 a 48 Volt, con una corrente massima di 4 Aampere per ciascun canale Con 5 canali è possibile controllare da cinque linee LED indipendenti a una striscia RGB+CCT (che ha i tre colori più il bianco caldo e il bianco freddo) passando per configurazioni intermedie. La risoluzione dei cinque canali può essere impostata per 8bit (256 livelli) o 16bit (65536 livelli) e questo permette di rendere impercettibili i gradini di luminosità che nel modo a 256 livelli è facile notare. Per un controllo fine della intensità, ove possibile sarebbe più idoneo il modo a 16 bit, ma occorre che la centralina DMX di controllo possa gestire questa modalità. Altra ottima cosa è che si possa impostare una curva lineare o logaritmica. Per la luce si preferirà la curva logaritmica. Con la modalità lineare la luce sembrerà variare molto velocemente quando è debole, e cambiare poco quando è verso la piena intensità. Ha un livello di luce di default impostabile. DMX512 è un protocollo secondo il quale un dispositivo master controlla fino a 512 canali, invia un dato a 8bit a ciascun canale senza avere alcun feedback. Più dispositivi riceventi possono raccogliere il dato di uno stesso canale. Questa interfaccia supporta RDM (Remote Device Management) che consente, a un master che abbia questa prerogativa, di ricevere risposte dai dispositivi controllati, in modo da conoscerne lo stato. Questo decoder DMX è quindi configurabile localmente, attraverso i pulsanti di controllo, ma anche da remoto, via RDM, ma il foglio allegato non dà altri dettagli circa il DRM.. Il decoder occupa cinque canali consecutivi. Il foglio non lo specifica ma immagino che se utilizzato in modo a 16 bit, i canali occupati saranno 10. L’ingresso/uscita DMX in questo caso usano un connettore RJ45, mentre tradizionalmente si usa connettore XLR. Attraverso i pulsanti si imposta il canale DMX di base, il valore di intensità di default, il valore di “blank”, la frequenza operativa (250-16000Hz), la modalità lineare/logaritmica, la modalità da 8 o 16bit, il valore di intensità in caso di mancanza di segnale DMX e l’abilitazione per il blank screen Il dispositivo ha anche una funzionalità di autotest attivabile che permette di verificare che le luci connesse operino regolarmente. Si può attivare il self test solo quando il segnale DMX non è presente.

Dispositivo de control DMX para tiras de Luces led mediante software con control por puerto rj45. Este controlador necesita una fuente de alimentación externa de 12-48 Vdc. Está pensado para controlar la iluminación de una tira led RGBW o RGB-CCT en la que tienes un hilo para cada color que va a uno de los puertos del codificador. Para tiras básicas, podían controlar hasta 5, pero sólo el encendido y apagado, no podrías controlar el color de la tira. Si tienes varias tiras RGBW necesitáis un Controlador pare cada una, a no ser que las puentees y las controles todas con el mismo color o que le alternes los cables y cuando cambies, cada tira coge el color que le tengas cambiado.

Le décodeur est très simple à utiliser, et pour connecter par exemple les LED, il suffit just de suivre la notice, en 3 étapes vous serez prêts. J'ai remarqué qu'il n'y aucun adaptateur inclus, donc il faut en acheter un.
