Roleplaying game without need for DM
This game is great fun. But best with 2 or more. If you going to solo use 2 characters. Read some story, roll some dice, and use some cards to get results to win fights or over come challenges. The story pulls you in and the decision you make keep having consequences in later chapters. Lot of content and looks great.

An RPG with specific dice rolls and cards to manipulate the dice, awesomeness.
Great board game that deserves more attention if only I hope they come out with more expansions. There is only 1 expansion for the game as of now but it is a recent release. The content in the board game will keep you if your solo playing 2 people or if you have a group up to four working together. Sadly there is no scaling for larger groups so some of the earlier levels feel too easy but once the story gets going and the dice keep rolling it keeps you interested for the whole of the campaign. A good 30 hours of content for one playthrough with a group of 3. Replayability is looking good through the choice directions and a nice death mechanic that is forgiving enough. There's also a legendary mode that is not so forgiving but fun for masochists.

The perfect solution for a tabletop RPG experience without a DM
Fantastic board game, filling the need for a DnD-like adventure without the need for a DM. My 10 year old loves it and I'm having a lot of fun too. Very high quality parts with tons of content

Interesting RPG
Roll Player Adventures is a legacy campaign game in which you create a character and progress through a narrative driven story. I was first exposed to the world of Roll Player through the initial self titled game "Roll Player." I was not terribly fond of the mechanics of that game. Sadly a lot of them carry over into "Adventures." Adventures will have you and your party reading from scenario books (there are 10-12 of them) as you participate in combat and other tests of skill to level your character and navigate the story. My group of 2 would take 2-3 hours to complete each story book. Setup and tear down is easy and the components are quite nice, specifically the vinyl maps and the inserts used to store everything. The primary mechanic of this game is dice manipulation which I do not find all that intriguing. Also there really does not seem like enough reward payout to level your character like you may want to. I felt like most of my earned experience was spent healing our characters due to poor dice rolls. The campaign books themselves are not terribly well written and will have you looping back around through events constantly. You can find solutions to some of these infinite loops online in the publishers FAQ. Ultimately this game rung hollow for me and I think this game is vastly overpriced considering there is only one miniature in the entire box. Most of the other components are cards, cubes, and story books. Try before you buy.

I picked up Roll Player Adventures on sale, and honestly, it felt like a real bargain. My partner and I played through the whole campaign, and we had such a great time. The story is engaging, the choices feel meaningful, and the scenarios kept us hooked from start to finish. For the price I paid, the value is incredible — tons of content, great production quality, and a really fun co-op experience. Can highly recommend it!
