Weighted Explorer’s Vest - Safari Style Weighted Vest for Kids with Sensory Needs - For Boys, Girls & Toddlers - Medium

I bought this weighted vest for my grandson to wear in the spring and summer as this material breathes. It has been excellent Choice for holding the weights and supporting the weights. It’s also fun for a six-year-old who loves to play explorer and Safari.

When my kid started kindergarten, he was a WRECK. He previously went to preschool full time for 2 years and had a positive experience. His kindergarten teacher was very patient, understanding, and lovely, so it was shocking how many meltdowns he was having daily for the first few months of school. I bought this about 2 months into the school year upon the recommendation of his teacher, and it helped. He wore it all day and it made him seem more grounded and less out-of-control. We also asked him to wear it when we went out to big, busy places like the mall, McDonalds play areas, and children's museums with the same outcomes. He also had other supports and small accommodations (sensory twice daily, mealtime accomodations, seating accommodations, etc), so that definitely also played a part in his increasing tolerance of school. He's in 1st grade now and doesn't need it anymore. I paid about $66 total, which seemed annoyingly expensive, but in the end I think it's worth the price. I'd recommend it for any kid who would benefit from some proprioceptive feedback. A bonus is that he got a lot of compliments on his "cool vest" and that was a lovely confidence boost for him.

My 4 year old was recently diagnosed with sensory integration issues so I decided to try this vest. It works wonders and you can see him visibly relax when he puts it on. I really like that it is easy to add weight to it as he gets bigger and that it doesn't look like a sensory vest. Highly recommend!

I got this vest for my son. It helps in focus in school and even when we're out and about. You can just see my child relax when we slip this on him. It took me sometime to actually find a weighted vest that didn't look like a weighted vest. I'm so glad I found this one.

This was awesome for my Dino Dana fan! My son loves to watch Dino Dana and Dino Dan,which features a child wearing a similar vest. There are not that many options for younger children so I am glad to have found this. :-)Update: Be careful how you wash the item. I accidentally discolored and shrunk the vest.

I measured my child prior to ordering and the vest is too small to zip. Buy a size larger than needed. Otherwise seems great

My son could take the weights out at will and they ended up torn up, spread all over the room.

Perfect! This product helps regulate my son real well. Just wish it had included a wieght guide and how many minutes product is supposed to be used for.
