Great value
I purchased this to go with a Retropie gaming system I am putting together. The kit didn't ship out until 10 days after I ordered it, but after it shipped it only took 2 days to reach me; if you want this quickly you may want to consider an expedited shipping option (I chose the free standard shipping). The kit was simple to put together (which is good because the instructions are pretty sparse), everything is plug and play and each controller worked individually with no problems with my Retropie. The only problem I had is that when I had both controllers plugged in at the same time, the button assignments kept getting mixed up and games were unplayable because the buttons didn't do what they were supposed to, even though I set them up correctly in the Retropie control configuration menu; I tried configuring them many times, always with the same results. I finally realized that both controllers had to have their buttons wired to their respective USB boards in exactly the same way; after I disconnected the buttons from the USB board in one of the controllers and re-connected them in the same way as the other controller, I could then use both controllers simultaneously with no problems. All in all I am very happy with this kit and would recommend it to anyone who is building a project on a budget.

Still working great
These controls are still going strong on my homemade arcade machine. The only thing that is not great is the ball on the joystick loosens with play. I'd like to use loctite on it to keep it snug, but then I couldn't take it apart if I needed to.

Great cheap way to do your arcade machine
It works great on pc and on my retropie arcade, it does feel cheap, because its cheap, but still do the job, no complaints here,

Middle of the road - cheap but get the job done
I like that it all comes as a package. Between the USB encoders, joystick, and buttons, you are getting your money's worth. The joystick has a lot of travel, and click loudly. The buttons have medium height travel, also click loudly, but they seem tight, almost as if sticking. It requires medium effort to press. Compared to Sanwa joyticks and buttons, you can definitely tell that this kit is not nearly as nice. The Sanway sticks are very precise and operate much smoother, and less clicky. The Sanwa buttons press without much effort, and again operate quietly and smoothly and just feel nicer under your fingers. If I were to do it all over again, I would spend a bit more to get the Sanwa joysticks and buttons, but at 2x the cost. This went into an Arcade1Up Street Fighter II cab with retropie, so it matches the quality of the cabinet. If it were going into a full size cabinet, I would definitely pass this and get the Sanwa parts at a higher cost.

Great solution for a Retropie Arcade.
So I put this together for the kids/grandkids. Built a retropie game console. Suddenly I am the super papa that can do anything. Instructions are pretty straightforward. Connect to the Pi as easy as, well, pie. So far so good. Joysticks and buttons seem pretty durable mounted. No complaints here.

Not a bad choice for arcade build as long as you don't need to remove em
They work well only knock is that buttons are push in and short instead of the the longer ones that have crew on collars

A good set of controls at a good price.
I've made a couple arcade emulation consoles and I've had really good experiences with the EG starts sets. The sticks have a pronounce click when moving them around, but control very well and I've had no issues drilling endless fireballs in Street fighter or beating down the kingpin and his goons in the punisher. I've even played Mario in the NES with these sticks and buttons and they reasons great even with tight platforming, so they work very well. The buttons have a decent travel to them, but not too deep and they feel good in the fingers. This set isn't as good as a true sanwa but for the price you can't beat it. I'd highly recommend them and I'll be buying more for sure. They work perfectly with a raspberry pi mame rig too.

works well
They work very well. I just don't like the clickety click sound from the joystick. Other then that good stuff. Definitely worth 4 stars... Again the clicking is annoying.......

One USB encoder board stopped working after 2 days. The power LED turns on briefly then shuts off, even with no buttons connected. The second board works fine on the same setup.
