OMG! ARE YOU A CRAFTER? I have been crafting for over 35 years and I’ve always used a hot glue gun that was attached to a plug in cord. It always required some logistical planning depending if there was an outlet nearby and where the project was located. This cordless hot gun hot gun is a game changer. The charge was quick, the gun took but a few minutes to get hot and the battery was still strong after an hour of use. The rechargeable 18V battery and charging station was a SEPARATE purchase. I’m very happy with the glue gun as it performed exceptionally well. Very little to no excess dripping from the nozzle. I think you need one too! It works well plenty of glue. You could probably burn through a glue-stick in 30 seconds if you wanted to. Its great for the price. It took right at 3 min to heat up. With a dewalt 5ah batter this thing would probably run 3 or more hours. I tried it with a powerstack and it worked well. I ran it for 40 minutes and still had 2 bars. I thought it might be a little too big and uncomfortable to use, but the size is great. Cordless is wonderful, and seems safer than corded. The color is good.

This is the third brand of battery powered hot glue gun I have tried in the last few weeks trying to find one that actually performs well. This one is a keeper and actually out performs my plug in model. It heated up very quickly and the glue was flowing within 2 minutes. The other two brands of the same claimed wattage took 10 minutes to heat up to the point that glue would flow and never reached the claimed temperature. This product also has a LED light indicating the power is on and it changes from a red color to a green color when the gun is at working temperature. The only improvement I would make to the product would be to add a white LED that would illuminati the work area. (This was a feature one of the other products I tested had.) I have only had this hot glue gun for a few days so far, so I can't report on longevity yet. But I do use a hot glue gun fairly often and will update this review if I come across issues. So if there is no update then it's still working great.

This appears to be a good value item. It should be noted that the battery is a little more finicky sliding into the slot than a standard Makita tool, however, that is to be expected. Additionally, the nozzle tips can be removed if needed and replaced with standard hot glue gun nozzles.

I assume this thing works well, I wouldn't know however because I only used it one time before it disappeared into my wife's crafting cabinet. Now I see her wandering the house running down all my batteries just happy as a clam fixing toys making wreaths, and who knows what else. She seems quite pleased with it, but I suppose I will have to order a second one for myself and not let her know about it, or she will be duel wielding them while crafting up a storm.

If you’re a crafter, you need this. My husband surprise me for Christmas with this and was so smart and getting one that’s compatible with all of his power tool batteries. This sucker gets hot hot hot! Super easy to use. Does use the thicker glue sticks. Not too heavy. Love that I can take it with me to bizarre‘s and farmers markets, etc..
