Good value, comfortable helmet
The helmet fit fairly well. I find I have to push it down a bit in the front to position the visor correctly, but otherwise the fit is fine. Padded cheeks, feels secure. First test drive went well. Aerodynamics are decent. Wind sound is minimal compared to what I'm used to, so this is a big plus. I don't have to wear earplugs. View is wide enough. Visor is clear and fit night riding there is minimal glare, which is good. Sun visor is easy to operate and is sufficient for sunny riding. Rear light works great. Small button in middle of light has 3 functions plus off. Can be turned on when stopped or even riding by reaching behind. So far, everything works fine. We'll see over time how good it works and looks. The one negative for me is the bulkiness. My previous helmet was sleeker. The extra padding and inner sun visor means a bit more space needed. Overall, two thumbs up on first day!

The helmet is good for the price, it fits well everything works as it should. Will fit our purpose for low speed off-road occasional use.

Some of the components seem cheap and flimsy plastic but its the non-functional pieces. The functional parts like vents, clips, etc all seem quality. Its quite comfortable and lightweight. The visors etc are easy to use and work well. I thought I might want to return it when it came but after two rides, I think it's an ok helmet. I hope it's safe and will protect in a crash. It seems like it would. I don't do a lot of highway riding but it's comfortable at 70mph and below, not much wind noise or whistles or vibration. Also, pretty good ventilation but not great. My head wasn't hot but I had helmets in past that had better airflow ventilation. One thing I didn't care for is with face / chin part down, didn't feel like I had options or was getting a lot of fresh air. I had a fixed full face helmet years ago and I remember it had 3 vent settings. You could get enormous air flow to breathe or dial back couple steps and close air flow. While I didn't really get hot or sweaty, I didn't notice much difference in vents open or closed. On my old helmet years ago, if I opened top vents, you definitely felt airflow and cooling. I had in Colorado and remember closing because in fall your head would get cold. This helmet, I don't think there is a airflow path inside. Probably some Air comes in, but there are not good channels.

I bought this helmet to take my riding lessons in 2021. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a helmet til I knew if I would continue and could learn more about what would best fit me. I went one size up, from LG->XL and it fit comfortably. Eventually, the longer I wore it, the more it hurt from pressing on my forehead. I removed the padding and used an ice cream scoop to compress the front and back of the foam. Then I was able to wear it all day before it started hurting. Size-wise, it was great. I put in speakers and still had room to wear Earpods and there was plenty of space to slide glasses in and out with the helmet on. I was even using a strap to hold my glasses in the right place with no problem. Pros: You can't beat the price. Well built. I like the yellow because it is better for the heat but more visible than white. Spacious without being too loose. Quick release buckles are the best; can even clip it with one gloved hand (sometimes) if I forget before I take off. The face shield and shade operate easily. I even use the shade with sunglasses when heading into the sun. Cons: Main problem I encountered is the shield fogs when it rains and only solution is to crack it open a notch. Thankfully, the shield stayed in place when open. I wish there was more air flow. Can barely tell a difference between vents open and closed. I can't comment on the noise level: 1 because I've had nothing to compare it to, 2 I always ride with noise canceling ear pods, and 3 my road tourer blocks most of the wind. I will say this; I gave up using the bluetooth headset because the headset wouldn't let me raise the volume so I could hear anything above the wind noise above 60 mph. I recommend getting NC ear pods or wearing ear plugs just to save your hearing anyway. Over the years I've tried on other helmets, just for a fit check, Bilt, Schubert, Shoei, et al and none of them felt as comfortable as my ILM, so I never traded up. Now, The Best Part: I recently ran off the road at a curve going about 65 mph and rolled several times (I wasn't really counting) down the ditch and the helmet stayed on and did what it was supposed to. I had no head or neck injury! (I had Bohn armor on, in case you're interested.) The only injury I sustained was a broken Tibia and misaligned ankle from a 600 lb motorcycle landing on my ankle. I count myself extremely lucky. After that, the helmet was seriously scratched up and the shield hinge didn't function well and one of the black vent pieces came loose. At that point, I felt I had gotten my money's worth out of it and was more than happy to replace it. I might just replace it with the same one, though I might try on a few others in the same price range to see what feels the best. So, if you have an intermediate oval head, and you're considering buying this, and the Cons aren't deal breakers, I encourage you to consider it. Good for one good wreck, then replace it, and hope you never have to replace it!

Light weight, great fit, the contrast makes it easy for oncoming cars to see you! Very shiny and easy to care for. Will be purchasing from this company again for my wife’s helmet.
