Like most plant based / vegan protein powders, the Nuzest one has a more custardy consistency and an earthy flavor vibe, but I was really impressed by the taste. It's quite amazing, the `Smooth Vanilla` flavor smells and tastes like an indulgent vanilla ice cream. What's more amazing is that Nuzest does that with clean and short ingredients: just pea protein, flavors and a fruit extracted sweetener. I actually only ordered a sample pack, because I never the protein powders from this brand. It's very expensive for just one portion, but I personally like to sample before making a big purchase. I highly appreciate when brands offer this possibility. Personally I'm not a shake or smoothie drinker, so I can't comment of how this dissolve or tastes in a shake, how gritty is feels. I only use protein powders to spike up the protein in baked goods, pancakes/waffles or my morning oatmeal. I ended up using the sample for a blondie recipe (which also included winter squash puree and flaxmeal); it mixed easily with the ingredients, dissolved completely and baked well; compared to using whey protein, the brownies were less dry and less `burned` (plant based protein always bakes better than whey/casein); it added a very enjoyable mild and not too sweet vanilla flavor.

I really wanted to like this protein powder as the nutrition information and profile was ideal (no sugar!) but the taste was horrible. It wasn’t bland or unflavored but had an odd taste and worse aftertaste. Other than that, it blended well and mixed into a decent size shake for the money. I cannot say it was filling since I wasn’t able to drink it.

The flavor was subtle but if definitely still taste the pea in it. It did blend well.

Better than many of the other protein powders I’ve tried in the past. The smell is amazing, but the flavor is pretty muted in comparison to the scent of the powder. Blends fairly well; chalky as most protein has, but blends better than most others. I got a Truvani sample as well and I like that more than Nuzest. Both in flavor and blending.

The consistency was good, but the taste wasn't quite what I was expecting. I got smooth vanilla and I think it would taste much better mixed in with other stuff (I got 1 sample size) but I prefer to just blend ice with my protein. Taste was pretty chalky and wasn't enjoyable to drink.

Great protein powder for our shakes !

I use the nuzest protein on a regular basis and so thankful that they have individual packages for when I am traveling.

Did not enjoy the flavor. Tasted chalky to me.
