Cetaphil Body Wash, Acne Relief Body Wash with 2% Salicylic Acid to Eliminate Breakouts, Gently Exfoliates and Provides 24Hr Dryness Relief, 20 oz

Context: I’m very active and workout hard 3-4 days of the week. I’ve been using this body wash consistently for the last year. Pros: Skin feels clean, soft, and the soap works especially well for areas where I’m prone to breakouts or where I have KP. I rarely suffer from breakouts now, and if I do, it’s a problem blemish and never a full breakout. I never smell like BO during workouts, even without deodorant (when I’ve forgotten to put it on). Additionally, my KP is significantly less than before my use. Cons: The smell is a little clinical - not bad, but not pleasant. I can smell it a bit during workouts but I much prefer that over BO. The soap also does not lather at all, so there’s a learning curve in using this cleanser over other soaps. Due to the bottle design, the last bit of soap usually needs to be forced out of the bottle by removing the pump which can be annoying. The bottle lasts me about one month (1-2 showers a day, 5-7 pumps per shower) which is actually pretty reasonable, but a bottle that lathers more may have better longevity. Overall value for me has been very good. I can’t find this product locally so it’s nice that it’s usually about $9-$10/bottle per month. If you suffer from KP, body acne, or persistent BO, this is a great option to try.

Dislike: does not lather. Greasy feeling and does not rinse off easily. Like: fragrance free, and leaves your skin feeling soft. This will function as a face wash for me because it has drawn a lot of dirt out of my pores. It is a large bottle but I feel like I have to use a bunch in order to wash my whole body. This cleanser is great for dry skin, but will not wash oil off well. In fact, it is super greasy and difficult to rinse off completely. (possibly by design) It does not lather at all. I understand some are sensitive to sls, but there are other natural lathering agents that don't irritate sensitive skin. Overall it's a good cleanser. It's just not a body wash for me.

Been using the Cetaphil brand and this specific type of body wash for a long time! It does help with body acne and doesn't have any perfumes which makes it safe for sensitive skin. The reason for only 3 stars is because the last two times I've purchased from Amazon, the solution is extremely watered down. As if they filled it 90% with water and 10% with the actual soap. I can't use it on a washcloth, loofah or with my hands. Its definitely not supposed to be so liquidy and dont know what's going on with these last two purchases... I can't find anywhere else near me to purchase this exact type of wash

This cleanser is for sensitive, acne prone skin; fragrances and "lathery" chemicals can cause irritation and breakouts, which is why this cleanser doesn't have any. If it's smells medicinal, that's because it literally is(for acne), lol, but I'll take that over the grapefruit scents that smell like sour mop water. It's medicated to fight acne while still being gentle on the skin, but I don't smell much of anything with this. If you can tolerate essential oils, a couple drops of lavender and tea tree oil in this cleanser smell wonderful and they also have antibacterial properties so they can also help fight acne as well. As for the lather(or lack of), I like that it feels like a lotion instead and I mostly use this as an in-shower/bath mask for my face and body. Just slather it on(doesn't take a lot either), let sit for a couple minutes and rinse off. I then wash from the neck down with my favorite Dove Go body wash(lavender and chamomile). Then after the shower/bath, I use a thin layer of a peroxide cream on affected areas and my skin is looking and feeling great. For $10 this is a great value. If I need a moisturizer for face and body, CeraVe Lightweight lotion works great for that. Edit about a month or two later: My skin is looking great, much better than it did before I found this!

I've struggled with body acne my whole teen and adult life. This body wash is the only thing I've found that works to reduce the amount and duration of breakouts! It doesn't lather, so I just pump in into my hands and rub into the affected areas. Definitely recommend!

Hace bien su función, me gustó que no reseca, por lo regular los limpiadores con acido salicilico dejan la piel muy reseca y tirante y este no lo hace. Tiene buena textura y rinde muy bien, no me causó ninguna reacción desfavorable o alergia. Bueno para casos leves, o evitar brotes en la espalda (por sudor, gimnasio, productos de cabello, etc) para casos severos supongo no será el mismo efecto.

quantity is nice, i don’t have the problem that everyone is complaining about, it’s not hard to keep track where the product is on. make sure to keep it on for 5 minutes before washing. still relatively new to it only two weeks but still noticeable skin smoothness.
