Flawed Mechanical Design—Handle With Extreme Care
The adapter worked perfectly on first use—no technical issues, and drivers were already installed by default on Apple Silicon. I'm giving one star because I appreciate the effort of providing a USB-C option and because it worked out of the box ... However, as another reviewer noted, the mechanical design is seriously lacking. The joint between the USB-C connector and the PCB is flimsy. Despite being extremely careful while unplugging, I heard a snap, and the device stopped working entirely. This product is not built to withstand disconnections. Poor durability overall. Note to the seller: Regardless of how snug the USB-C connection is, the durability of the USB-C to PCB joint needs improvement. I opened the plastic housing and inspected the joint, it's a clear point of failure with no structural reinforcement. It doesn't take twisting or wiggling to break; simply pulling it straight out was enough to snap it, which is exactly what happened in my case. At the end of the day nothing beats the following options in place of this one. While they are not USB-C they are insanely better designed/built compared to the product above. Do not buy the above product, spend it on one of the following items instead. - DSD TECH SH-U09G USB to TTL Serial Cable Built-in FTDI FT232RL IC 1.8M/5.9FT - PL2303TA USB to TTL Serial Cable Debug Console Cable for Raspberry Pi 3 Pack

Worked great with my MacBook.
I used this to flash some Sonoff Basics to support HomeKit. Very easy to use and worked great.

broke after a few uses
usb-c port was too thick and wouldn't fit into port on computer. So when i pulled it out, it just broke off. terrible design. stay away

Didn’t get to use it much
The port bent on the first plug in to my laptop, there is not much holding it in place on the pcb
