I got this oil to try out because there is something very nostalgic about patchouli oil for me. As a kid growing up I remember always smelling this scent. I remember smelling it at home but especially at church. I hadn’t smelled this scent a quite a while but I wanted to try it out to put into my diffuser because I remember always loving the scent. When I got this patchouli oil it did not disappoint. It was just as strong and potent and I’ve always remembered it to be which speaks very highly of the quality of this oil. Seeing that this oil is so helpful for the skin and aiding in depression and anxiety, I knew that I would be using this oil quite a bit. I love to use this oil in my diffuser blended with a couple other oils. Because I have mild eczema, I have been adding a couple drops of this into my bath water to help heal my skin and I think it works. I’ve been really enjoying this oil and I really like it. As a person who looks to reviews to help in my purchasing experience, it is always imperative to be as honest and thorough in my reviews as I possible can be. I want to help others and I look to others reviews to help me as well. This oil is absolutely amazing if you like the smell of patchouli. It's rich and very undiluted. I purchased it to use mainly for the scent benefits of tension relief, but after learning it helped clear your skin, I gave it a shot. I have been suffering with adult acne for awhile now, including dry flakey skin along with small bumps all over the sides of my face. I pat three drops all over my face after cleansing and honestly this is the best remedy for adult acne and age lines on the forehead that I have used to date. My skin is soft and clear when I wake up. I also mix it in with my conditioner and my hair hasn't felt this soft and strong in a long time. Every night I also mix 6 drops in with about 8 ounces of water and drink it (in one giant gulp- I love the smell but the taste not so much) for the medicinal benefits that also come along with it because apparently this stuff is a wonder oil! I feel like my skin is finally starting to get the glow back that it used to have when I was younger. Definitely one of my favorite purchases that I would recommend to anyone! And for the price, this find is even more amazing!

I didn't like the woody smell. I tried it on my acne. It didn't work quite well as I hoped. But it's a good mix with other oils and create a nice aroma. It sure lasted all day long. I put some on early in the morning as well with rosé water and lavender. Later I went to work in the evening. Both of my coworkers smelled it and was like...what did you have on you? I didn't remember I have any on me and didn't smell anything too. They kept sniffing the air and one of them was asking if it was patchouli. I remember I did had it on, but it was way early in the morning. They told me it smelled good and remind them of their young years. They were both older make nurses. Wow they got good noses. I guess this smell is more for men because of how woody it is. Unless some women do like woody smell too. I'll kept trying this oil for other uses, I might found something beside for acne since it doesn't work for me. I'll try to blend it for others oils to make fragrance like Leonardo da Vinci recommended.

Edit: After an entire year, this is still my favorite! This Dark Patchouli scent is the perfect patchouli fragrance you are looking for. Although the bottle lasts quite a while, I’ve gone through 4 or 5 bottles because I add it to all kinds of things, deodorant, room spray, whatever you wish. It immediately puts me in a good mood when I put on. I wear it directly on my skin and get a lot of compliments on this oil. My adult daughter even says it smells good on me, so there you go!
