Honing Rod

I purchased this steel as a complement to a set of Henkels Zwilling Professional S knives, as I found the steels available from Henkels, while perfectly functional, a little too utilitarian. The three-rivet, full-tang construction of this steel is, in my opinion, a better esthetic match for these knives. While its handle is not an exact match for the knife set, it's the closest I have found, and satisfies my requirements well. It is well-made and balanced, with a comfortable grip, and I trust it will do a fine job of keeping my knives honed between sharpenings.

We purchased this because we already own several Cutluxe knives and have been extremely happy with their quality and value for money. This honing rod is no exception. It comes beautifully boxed, so it would make a great gift, and it also includes a cleaning cloth. The hone itself feels sturdy in the hand. I personally would have liked it to be a little heavier, but that’s just my preference. It’s easy to hold, the ten-inch size is a perfect middle ground for our needs, and it works comfortably with both long and short knives. Cleaning is simple - a quick wipe with a damp cloth after use is all it needs. Overall, very impressed.

Gift quality packaging. Really nice. Felt lined case. Hone is attractive and well balanced with a meaty handle and gaurd. Functions as expected..it is just a hone after all.

Beautiful. Sharpens perfectly 12” was a little long. Perhaps 10” would fit in my drawer better. Very good quality. Husband loves it

Rather than buying new knives after stones didn’t do the trick, I used this honing rod on all my knives and they are all sharper than new. After repeated use, I get the same results. Don’t really care where it was made as I finally have razor sharp knives and scissors.

Je ne regrette pas de l'avoir commandé. Effectivement, ce fusil est très efficace. Cependant, attention de bien affûter avant le couteau avec une pierre à aiguiser de qualité afin d' avoir le bon angle de coupe qui est généralement de 20° pour les couteaux de cuisine. Pour ma part, je suis un fou de l'affûtage, et je veux que mes couteaux coupe comme des rasoirs. Bref, ce fusil va redresser le fil du couteau et vous donner un tranchant digne de ce nom. Article à recommander chaudement malgré son prix un peu élevé. Bien à vous.

Amazing product. It really works that well. Was even able to sharpen my impossible to sharpen knife. The "Robin" to my Worksharp K.O Ed. Would clearly recommend this.
