Vintage Style Cast Iron Twine and Shears Set (Black A) 1

I purchase a lot from Restaurant Depot and when needed I buy the bulk butchers twine. I was concerned when I bought this Vintage cast iron piece due to height and depth - but no problems.I do like how it has an arm that is above the twine, makes it nice and easy to grab without fumbling for the end piece.the Scissors seam to work fine for what I am doing.For the Twine... it is a brown twine, reminds me of something to tie craft items, I will probably use it in the garden to tie plants to the stakes.So far, I am very happy with this product.

We have two of these and we also gave one to our daughter-in-law. The style is great because you can put any height twine or decorative twine on it. Also the end is readily available with the scissors right there to cut it. It is so handy. Good places are the garage, laundry area, craft area, kitchen. Just anyplace you might be when you need twine! We have one in the garage where not only I use it but my husband uses it for garden projects.Some holders might be cuter designs but this is very practical and easily used. Although I do not sew it reminds me of a sewing machine, where you thread the top thread to go up and down!Very quick service and packaged well.

Missing a washer/bolt and had no instructions. Hit up my garage and found something to make it work... but it took us a while to figure out which way to put it so that the string would sit flat. Other than that.. I use it often for my business... it's heavy and sturdy and doesnt fall over when you pull the string. I really like it and I'm glad I have it.

I love this and use often

I was so excited about this! When I first looked at it, it seemed to be wonderful but then I packed it away until my office was completed. Today, construction is done and I unpacked this adorable little thing. When I pulled the twine, the roll fell off the table. THIS is why I wanted this to begin with! To AVOID this. After looking closer and watching the video, I realized that the metal thing that went in the center of the twine to keep it from rolling away, was wedged inside the twine that was included with the holder. So basically, this is useless! AND the main arm is wiggly. I can't return it because I bought it too long ago. I wish I would have looked closer when I unpacked it the first time but I was moving and just looked quick. There are soooo many bad reviews. I wish I would have seen them before I wasted my money. At least my dogs will be glad when my twine rolls across the floor all the time. Silver lining??? Ughh!!!

Works great

I used this during the holidays to hold spools of ribbon/string to make wrapping gifts easier. It worked like a charm! The scissors are quite sharp, perfect for Cutting ribbon or string. It is also quite attractive and I have therefore placed it on my china cabinet for easy access, as well as being kind of decorative.
