We adopted Happy about a year ago, and shortly after looked into some supplements to boost his health. He had been through quite a lot and was plucking and low energy. So I tried this out (with one other vitamin powder for his food). I put this into his water and he doesnt mind it at all, so clearly the taste is not issue for him. It is barely visible once its in the water. It does not seem to have a scent which is a good thing. He has definitely perked up and his feather quality has improved as well. They do not seem to break so easily now. He is losing far fewer feathers. I just take a small pinch and add it to his water bowl each day when I do a water change. Very easy to do. As far as I can tell, it works. We are about a year into using it and though his feather regrowth is not miraculous, it is definitely getting there. He is thirty years old, so as is the case with most parrots, everything takes time and patience. I would say it is a good addition to his diet and routine though. Especially since he refuses to eat any fruits or veggies. Soooo picky.
