As I'm writing this review I'm still convinced I've missed some pages at the end. No professional writer would leave a story this up in the air. The book was good but there has to be some conclusion, a part2, something! This was truly the worst end to a book I have ever experienced and I read a LOT! James Patterson--what happened. Did you fall asleep, send the book to the publisher and call it good?

Mitchum has a newspaper route but he does unofficial P.I. work in Marlboro, New York. When his cousin Bailey Mae goes missing, he is asked to help find her. Along for the ride is Mitchum's drug dealing brother Natty..

It was corny...too much explanation. A little mysterious but no real suspense. No black insults or characters this time. The cell was an added bonus.

This is an engaging mystery. I like the BookShots audio tapes as they are perfect for my three to four hour jaunts across the state. The stories captivate my interest, and they are easy to follow without a large number of characters to keep track of.

I chose this book out of curiosity because I have the name Mitchum and am an author.The book had a very slow start with lots of detail and very little significant plot. It was an enjoyable read with the action packed into the last portion of the book. The ending did not spell out a complete resolution for me which was a disappointment. Personally, even though it is a book shot book, I thought it needed another short chapter.

I gave this book four stars. It was an interesting story with unique characters however not as good as some of his other books.
