Fun, fast and easy to learn 4x game. Tiny and epic.
This game is one that, like others in the tiny epic series, is small but packs a good punch. I am biased towards the tiny epic series and this is no exception. I play solo and it has been a blast trying to outsmart fate as with the expansion solo is based on the roll of the dice and it can be brutal. You have a decent map and can even expand it is you so desire by adding another card as the lost real as one would do for a two player match. The adding of hero’s from the expansion, heroes call, add a new layer of strategy that can help you reach those victory points. Easy to learn and less than five minutes to set up with a gameplay lasting anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes. Is a nice 4x when one don’t have the time for something like civilization. Love it and recommend it.

Great Game, Easy to Learn, Fun for All
This game is everything I had been led to believe it is. It is such a tiny box but ha sSOOO much inside it. I've read a number of articles and reviews in both print and video. They are all very much to be trusted and I look forward to mastering this one so that I can add more to our game stash. Just read up on it. Choose the specific themed version of the game that appeals to you and purchase it. You will not be disappointed!

Fun level of strategy in a non-threatening size.
We love Tiny Epic Kingdoms. It’s like Catan but with magic and fighting. You can bully others off of key resource locations or play passively. Many ways to win. One of our favorite things about this game is that it really is in a small box. It’s a seemingly meaningless thing, but when you’re helping others break out of the Phase 10 / Apples to Apples cage of gaming, a small non-threatening box goes over much better than the large boxes most games of this strategic level come in. Very well made, fun and addictive.

So much to like, just way too small.
Wow. Epic. A very beautifully conceived, wonderful to look at, simple yet tactful light tiny game that all fits inside a box smaller than my hand (including nicely designed tarot sized cards/boards on sturdy cardstock, 2 quality dice and a bunch of simple wooden game pieces). That said, it's hard not to wish they had made it all just a little bit bigger. But it is fun and intelligent and doesn't take to long...almost perfect! UPDATE: After playing this a few more times, I decided to remove a star. The tiny sized boards and character cards combined with their slick glossy finish makes this game, as good as it is, a bear to play. Game board map pieces slide around on the tabletop and the teeny tiny wooden pieces are difficult to hold and place. Just making the cards box-sized would've greatly improved playability and still kept it portable.

My 13 yo boy really likes it, which was the hope
Fun game. Scale 1 to 5, 1 being easy to learn, 5 being difficult to learn. I give it a 4. It takes an hour to read the directions and practice play, but it's worth it. It's small and portable but with all the small pieces, they slide around easy and you need 5 square feet of space on a hard flat surface. Can't play on the move. Once you understand, it is fun, with 5 different aspects to keep in mind and the 4 scoring areas. Planning and strategy help

Like a pocket sized Catan with War
I feel like I can carry a version of Catan around with me in my cargo shorts pocket, except it's a version in which I can war with others so it's pretty sweet. Plays well at all player counts but I avoid it at 2 players nonetheless--it's just not as fun because you can easily box someone into their home territory card if they don't expand and you do. Larger player counts make you watch multiple fronts for area control so this fixes the issues we've run into. Much prefer Galaxies at 2 players. Kingdoms feels a bit light even though it's fun, as warring is oftentimes not worth the cost. Apparently the Heroes Call expansion fixes this.
