Bought these to replace a locked cabinet in my van that no one could find the key for. Had to drill the old one out and didn't want to use a new lock just to lose the key again so I decided to use these instead. This was an easy install and seems very sturdy. Definitely helped to measure the old lock once I got it out and before buying this one. There are a lot of size options for these thumb locks so I wanted to get it right the first time. Very happy with this one!

It functions fine but I found the thumb wings were really small and a little hard to turn.

They are not chrome but zink plated so we will see if they rust.

The latches on my Onan Generator broke off and genuine replacements were just shy of $30 each + shipping. I got these and the back side metal retainer latch piece from the Onan latches fitted them perfectly. I did recess a stainless washer in the hole of the generator cover as the barrel on these latches is slightly smaller than the originals. Doesn't look too half bad and saved myself about $60.Oh and they function better too. The Onan latches were always extremely stiff and it was while I was trying to fix this that they broke. These have a clean snap when they close and I have driven and run the generator and they stay closed.
