This book is so informative I'm reading it AGAIN!
This is a fantastic book written by a doctor who's been there, done that, when it comes to having been much too heavy. He spent a lot of his life being overweight, and then doing goofy diets, but as we all know by now, diets rarely have lasting effects. He now just eats primarily a steak a day (according to the book, maybe he's changed that). I liked the book because it's very comprehensive yet easy to read and quite motivating. Nowadays besides being a heart surgeon, he helps people with weight issues. I'm actually reading the book again...something I very rarely do! Lots of interesting and helpful information in this book

Outstanding guide for improving your health and your life
The is a very well-written and easy to understand book that clearly explains what metabolic health is, along with presenting the keys to improving your overall health and preventing some of the major diseases like heart diseases that plague so many people. But perhaps what I like best is that the author Dr. Philip Ovadia is a practicing heart surgeon doing life-saving surgeries in major hospitals. He has seen firsthand the devastating results of poor metabolic health, and has developed a clear system for how you can improve it. That's a high level of credibility in my book. In addition, Dr. Ovadia's writing style is very accessible and very relatable, and he lists references that back up his recommendations. I like that he comes across as a very knowledgeable yet humble and overall good guy. Yes, you have to eat right and exercise, but the program he outlines is very flexible and adaptable, and can fit many different types of lifestyle and dietary preferences, from carnivore to vegan. I have read many books on health including heart health, and I have to say that this one is the best I've ever read. I highly recommend it. Thank you Dr. Ovadia,

metabolic health is the only real health plan.
Covers the 5 basic low carb high protein plans as well as the carnivore diet. I was 7 days into it when I found this book. Completely confirms and justifies a carnivore diet. I’m no longer hungry 5 minutes after eating. I’m also intermittently fasting, one meal a day. On the carnivore diet I’m not hungry for 24-28 hours after eating. Makes fast days easy! This book will tell you all you need to know to once and for all eat healthy!

Stay Off That Table!
Very easy read. Great rundown on metabolic health, how to score, current diets with pros and cons, and sample meals. I follow this on X, and agree with the idea that the whole "high cholesterol is bad" argument is not necessarily true. This book points that out. Stop consuming sugars! Also, the calcium score discussion is great. My PCM just had me do one and I am surprised (also mad) at the result.

makes sense
The first time I’ve read a self help book front to back. He doesn’t give “diet” advice. He leaves it up to you how you get to a better place. I think his take on metabolic health is spot on. I’m hoping to stop the destruction of my body and I think this is the way. Thank you, Dr Ovadia.

Dr. Ovadia lays it all down in concise, easy to follow steps for everyone. It shows how passionate he is about really helping people wake up to proper nutrition, self care, and self advocacy. I am 3 weeks to a month into the keto lifestyle, and I have so much energy and wondered how I ever got along before. 56 yes old and loving life right now.😀
