Recommended by my kidney specialist because “this is what works best”
My kidney specialist stays in his lane and sticks to prescribing what works, and this is one of the only times he has ever recommended a supplement for me. I need the magnesium to counteract side effects from my prescriptions. He said “this is what works best” and what he takes himself. The ease of ordering it from Amazon is bonus, and the blood tests confirm the magnesium is being effectively absorbed.

Mg Plus Protein is working
My doctor recommended Mg Plus Protein for me because my magnesium level was low but regular magnesium supplements upset my stomach. He uses this and asked me to try it. I've been taking it for about a month with no stomach upset, and my magnesium level has come up. I take three tablets each day in the evening.

Best magnesium supplement
After receiving a Stem Cell Transplant for Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma my kidneys began dumping magnesium as a side effect of chemotherapy. My Oncologist gave me a list of 4 types of magnesium supplements to take. After trying the ones at my pharmacy and 3 on the list, I sent an email to the manufacturer and asked for a sample to tryout. The manufacturer actually sent me a 25 day supply and they worked... I was able to tolerate these supplements and didn't get uncontrollable diarrhea and other GI problems like heartburn or nausea. I take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. In addition to these pills I try to eat foods rich in magnesium a few days a week. The protein I guess helps me absorb the pills better and I guess the added benefit is the protein helps with my iron levels at least I believe it does. The only problem is that none of the pharmacies in my area carry them so my Oncologist writes a prescription which the pharmacy honors and orders them . A new pharmacy manager has refused to order them because they said that there's no one else who gets them and they can't justify the fact they have to pay the full price... So I started ordering them from an online pharmacy but now the shipping fee has increased and I am getting it from Amazon.

Magnesium
I needed magnesium my Doctor Who prescribed for me and this was the same magnesium that he prescribed. I ordered it. It was a great price and it works just fine.
