Pioneer DJ DM-50D Active 5-inch Desktop Monitor Speaker, Black

If you’re a DJ or a music producer and you love dance music especially EDM/house, these are outstanding. Bonus points if you have a Pioneer DJ controller (which are industry/club standard) to go with it. Plenty of bass to go along with the amount of volume you can crank this up with (best way to test this is with EQ knobs on DJ controller). I know some rate the KRK Rokit 5 higher but it’s pricier and I’m not even sold it’s a better product tbh. Pioneer usually designs their product to work very smoothly with each other.

I haven't had any problems with these. I use these for producing my own music with Ableton (guitars, bass, midi). They sound great to me. They get louder than I need them to go. I can't turn them all the way up and sit in front of them mixing and recording music. They do enter a rest mode when you don't use them for a long time. It takes less than a second for them to kick back on though. They never rest when I'm producing music. Only when no sound has gone through them for a while and again they come back on in under a second. If these were your concerns I recommend buy them. Pros: Loud Included wires They look nice 5" speakers Anytime I go to a concert the DJs are using pioneer equipment. 🤷‍♂️😅 Cons: I wish the power switch was on the front and not the back, but it's a matter of preference and not really much of an inconvenience. They're a little more expensive but I don't have to live with the fear of missing out after buying cheaper 3.5" PreSonus speakers.

Great speakers. I’m a bit of an OCD. So having pioneer speakers to match my DJ rev1 is a perfect fit. I’ve heard better audio quality but these are certainly not bad by any measure. I threw a house party and got the police called on me so they can get loud.

These speakers were packaged well and sound nice with minimal set up, however I was alarmed to discover there's no thread hole on the back or bottom nor a "keyhole" for mounting. I have my $200 speakers resting on speaker stands with no support except double sided tape, very sketchy and anxiety inducing. Also it says they're Japan in description but come with a Made in Chine sticker on the bottom.

Perfect for my home system

These small fellas will surprise you. I was expecting decent quality but Pioneer really nailed it with these. Powerful bass and crisp quality sound. They can also be used for studio recording, they must be an entry level for professional studio but they are extremely good. Satisfied with purchase!

Better than I expected 👏🏿👏🏿

Me costaron 4600. Suenan bastante fuerte, aunque arriba de 50% del volumen ya no suenan tan nitido. Tienen dos modos, uno de respuesta plana y uno que refuerza bajos y agudos (suenan fuerte los bajos pero solo hasta 50Hz). No responden abajo de 50HZ. Si lo que buscas son bajos profundos te hara falta un subwoofer. Recomendaria ir por un modelo con drivers/conos de 8" o mas. Si lo que buscas es la opcion mas economica que de los mejores resultados, son una buena opcion.
