Been using at the urging of my doctor and it has been great! When mixed with juice or other flavored drinks it has no taste and mixes well without leaving clumps. Definitely worth the price for the amount of servings you get.

I started using this protein about 3 weeks postpartum. I needed something quick and full of nutrition, especially protein, to get me going in the mornings. I love mixing it in with some coconut milk, it’s so yummy. This product is also great because it’s not like other non dairy based proteins that clump up and are chalky. It is very smooth and the flavor is not too sweet but has just enough flavor that makes it enjoyable. If I have a little more time, I love to throw it in a berry smoothie. Pregnancy is so hard on your body, the postpartum healing process is quite a ride and no joke. I love that this product helps with that process. I love that I can get something every day that helps speed it along but also assists the process. I have seen improvement in my nails, hair, and skin getting the collagen that is in this product. I am also able to better care for my little one because my energy levels are so much better starting out with this every day! Great product! Highly recommend for any mama!

I come to this product from a different angle. I am a 54-year old male athlete, and I work full time. I heartily recommend Protiva. My years of sports, martial arts and weights training led also to shoulder pain, probably from a jiu jitsu injury. An expert friend suggested I start to take a collagen protein supplement, and I found Protiva, a high quality product with a clinical study. I started to take two "New Mom" shakes a day with fruit and an occasional greek yogurt thrown in the blender. My performance and muscle tone quickly improved, while my shoulder pain diminished. Unfortunately, I recently found out from an MRI that I have a torn rotator cuff. I will get surgery next week. My expert friend convinced me to switch for before the surgery to Protiva Pregnancy. I was taking one shake a day, and now I am taking two shakes a day until the surgery. Once the surgery of over, I intend to take two shakes a day of the New Mom, to help my wound and surgery heal, for 30 days. My advisor tells me a number of surgeons have their patients take the additional protein to recover from surgery and had great results. New Mom has vitamin E, which I am limiting before surgery, so I am taking the Pregnancy version for this short while. What a fabulous product, and I discovered it at the perfect time.

This is such an amazing product. The lactation consultant at the hospital I delivered it recommended it to me to help improve breastmilk and help me heal from my C-section. I started to use it and I saw an amazing difference with my breast milk flow, my skin and my overall healing. The only thing I didn’t like so much was The taste. It taste like medicine even though I mixed it with almond milk and fruit. It’s not terrible with the taste but definitely not pleasing. However it’s worth the benefits to my body so I keep drinking it.

My doctor recommended, though not sure if he gets compensation for every Amazon product sold. But it tastes like nothing, and dissolves quickly. I just think there is better product out there.

Taste is disgusting. I bought the unflavored one but it definitely has a taste to it . Idk what it is. I want to love the product but it’s horrible.

I will be returning this item. I bought this product because it markets itself specifically as "safe during pregnancy." Upon receiving it, however, I took a closer look at the ingredients list. Many of them are common fillers for texture (maltodextrin, xantham gum, silicon dioxide, etc.). While the FDA has approved the use of silicon dioxide in foods, the EU restricts its use before more testing can be done. Maltodextrine can cause spikes in blood sugar. Most alarming, though, is the presence of Retinyl Palmitate, a Retinoid derivative, which is of course strongly contraindicated for pregant women. Numerous studies show teratogenic effects of retinoids, including severe birth defects. While I found one clinical trial that appears to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of this product, the journal in which this study appears is a for-profit journal with an expedited peer-review process, and which charges authors for publication. This is not the standard for the most reputable, high-quality scientific journals.

A friend recommended this product to me and I’m glad she did. I’ve been mixing it in with my tea every morning to help strengthen my hair and nails. After a few days I found the perfect ratio of collagen and honey to add to it to make it taste really nice, and I’m going to try adding it to a smoothie next. It doesn’t make me tired or sick, and I’ve got a decently sensitive stomach. The powder is really fine so open the bag slowly, but I like that it helps the collagen blend into my drinks better. So far I’m really liking this brand!
