Mizuno Wave Universe 4 vs. New Balance MT10V1 & V2
Bought size 8D in mens. In women's shoes, I usually wear an 8.5D. These shoes are perfect. They wrap my feet so well, it feels like I have nothing on my feet. I bought the orange, since it is my favorite color. The decorations look kind of cheap, but I didn't buy them for the decorations. I bought them because they are one of the lightest shoes on the market today and are a minimal shoe. I currently own and wear on rotation 3 pair of New Balance MT10V1 and V2 and I absolutely love them all. The Mizuno Wave Universe 4 are far lighter and have not a single seam or a single area of discomfort compared to my New Balances. I never thought I could have found a more near-perfect shoe compared to my New Balance. Well, I was wrong! If you're looking for a lightweight, glove-like fit, Mizuno Wave Universe 4 is THE shoe for you.

I LOVE THESE!
I've tried a variety of minimalist shoes over the last few years including Sketchers GoBionic, Nike Free 3.0 v4s, Altra Samson, New Balance Minimus MR00, and Vibrams. These Mizunos are one of my favorites. There is a slight heel on them (I believe the drop is 4mm) which is similar to what you'd find on the Nike free. The first thing you'll notice when picking these up is just how light they are, they weigh almost nothing. Running in them doesn't offer much cushioning (but that's the point of finding minimalist shoes), but I had no problem maintaining a mid-foot strike using these. I preferred them to most of the shoes above, even though the Mizuno's aren't as hyped as any of those. The Nikes didn't breathe well at all, the Sketchers were nice but felt a little sloppy (hard to describe), the Altras had odd stitching that irritated my feet when running sockless. Vibram Four-fingers are in a different category and I believe you either love them or you don't, I didn't mind them, but I didn't love them. From all of those shoes, I like the compromise that the Mizuno Wave Universe offers. I rotate them with a few other shoes, but love putting these on. If you want a lightweight shoe, then give these a try, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome running shoe....Dont not use on a treadmill
I ordered these shoes because this was the by far the best price I could find. quick shipping and the shoes were awesome. Light and performed very well. Give them a try you will love this if you are looking for a light weight shoe. keep in mind do not use them on a treadmill like I did in the gym once. the treadmill will eat them away (that's what happened to mine). the material is to soft for a treadmill but perfect for a track or road.

Very Nice
Like this shoe because it has ample room towards the toes and is extremely light. Also, I relate to it more as a crossfit shoe than a shoe designed solely for running because it has a fairly wide base for lifting stability but is very light weight as I mentioned before. It's a very comfortable shoe for just kicking around too..

Perfect saily shoes for barefoot style runners
I alternate my daily run between these and Vibram Fivefinger KSO Evo as I run with barefoot running style with front foot landing. If you are a barefoot runner looking for a minimal protection, you would love these. I do use a pair of super thing socks as inside the show is a bit rough, not like Vibram shoes, to avoid blisters.

The perfect race companion
I currently own two pairs of Mizuno Wave Universe 4. I bought a second pair as a back-up in case the first pair would wear out. Until now, that isn't the case. I'm over 300 kilometers and I expect to reach at least double that distance before it's worn out. Not much more to say than wat already has been said. The shoe is very lightweight and low-drop. I can run without any problems a half marathon distance in the shoe. In comparison to my other shoes I chose for a size 12 instead of my normal 11.5, because I have quite wide feet. The toe-width in size 12 is comparable to my Skechers Go bionics and Inov-8 Bare-x 180's in size 11.5 Getting the tongue right during lacing is a bit tricky en I think the inner of the shoe isn't soft enough to wear sock-less.

Great fit, comfortable shoe
I got these for my mom. She is very picky about shoes. Her feet are wide for females so it can be really hard to find shoes that are comfortable for her. She had a different version of the wave universe shoe before, so she decided to take the risk and try this one. She's been wearing them for a week now and she absolutely adores them. She says they're 'like heaven'. I would buy these again in a second!

A zippy, minimalist shoe.
I've used quite a few minimalist shoes (Merrell Trail Gloves and various New Balance Minimus models). One thing that seems rather rampant in minimalist designs is a very narrow chassis. I admittedly have a wide foot (though not so wide as to warrant an actual wide (2E) shoe) but my foot felt very constricted in my New Balances which resulted in the dreaded TotFP (Top of the Foot Pain). Now to the point, these Mizunos have a very comfortable width both in the forefoot and toebox which have alleviated a lot of discomfort especially after foot expansion during longer runs or intense circuit work. They are barely noticeable on your feet due to the extremely light weight.A couple of cons which are easily cured. These run a bit small. I usually order Men's 11s and my big toes touch the tip of the shoe which resulted in a blister on the inside point of my big toes after my first few runs. They've since calloused and aren't a problem. If I order again, I'll go a size up from 11 in this shoe. Second, the bottom of the tongue has some rough stitch work on it and feels a bit like sandpaper on the upper forefoot the first few times you run. It has sense softened up and smoothed out. If you run with a thin sock, it's likely a moot point.I've used these for quite a few crossfit/sealfit styled workouts and they perform well. They keep my feet cool while keeping my connected and in line with the ground. For complex lifts (power clean, squats, etc), the minimal heel to toe drop is very useful. Traction for things like box jumps or sprints seems fine. I have no proof of this but do fear they may be slippery under wet or dusty conditions on smooth surfaces. A mere look at the sole construction hints at such.Bottom line: This is a better than average shoe at an exceptional price. It's a great WOD shoe and a good runner's shoe.

ein Flaum
Gewicht? Nicht vorhanden. Gazellenhafter Laufstil, aber nix für lange Distanzen, da zu ist die Dämpfung, die aber gar nicht schlecht ist, dann doch zu gering
