Great Bit of Kit for Proper Guinness at Home
The Guinness Draught Nitrosurge Device is a great bit of kit if you enjoy Guinness at home. It’s easy to use and produces a smooth, creamy head that’s very close to what you’d expect from a pub pour. The device works well and feels solid, and it really does improve the overall drinking experience compared to a standard can pour. A fun and effective gadget for Guinness fans and a nice treat if you want a better pint at home.

Pub quality at home
The Nitrosurge does exactly what it promises. If you like Guinness and want something close to pub quality at home, this is a solid buy. Once you’ve used it a couple of times it becomes second nature. The surge itself makes a real difference. You get that proper cascade effect and a creamy head rather than a flat pour you’d normally get from a can. Taste wise, it’s noticeably smoother and closer to what you’d expect in a decent pub. The head holds well and the texture is spot on. It’s not a gimmick, it actually improves the drinking experience. Build quality feels good and it’s compact enough to live in a kitchen drawer without being a pain. Battery life has been fine so far and it charges quickly. Is it essential? No. Is it worth it if you drink Guinness at home regularly? Definitely. It turns a normal can into something that feels a lot more premium. I’d happily recommend it.

Proper creamy!
My hubby loves this, I got it him for Christmas. He's the type of man you literally have no idea what to buy him. He lived in Ireland for about 5 years do he's obviously now the oricle on how Guinness should be poured to give the best head on it and how it should taste. He's says this is amazing to use with the Nitrosurge Guinness cans, easy to pour to get the best head on it and it tastes super creamy. He said its 'almost' as good as a proper Irish Pub Guinness. Praise indeed! 🍀

Better Guinness at home
Turns a can of Guinness into a draft style pint. Works best on the Nitro Surge Guinness cans but will also work on the standard Guinness cans. Great little gadget and makes a good gift for a stout lover.

Great for an at-home pour!
Great gadget for enjoying Guinness at home. The Nitrosurge tap creates a smooth, creamy head and gives a much more authentic draught-style pour compared to a standard can. It’s easy to use, compact, and adds a nice sense of occasion to pouring a pint. While it doesn’t completely replace a pub pour, it comes very close and makes a noticeable difference in taste and texture. Ideal for having guests over and parties as it’s also a little bit of fun. Can be a little tricky to work out for the perfect pour though, and frustrating you have to buy specific cans!

NOT just a gimmick! It actually gives a fantastic creamy pint!
I thoroughly expected this to be a gimmick, but I was nicely surprised as I bought myself it for Christmas, along with 12 Nitro cans. After happily drinking draught Guinness for many years, I can honestly say that the nitro cans along with the nitro device definitely pour a superior pint to what we get with the 30 year old "widget", another gimmick, which also improved the drink, AND stood the test of time. While the impact of the nitro isn't quite as huge as the widget was vs flat Guinness, it is very noticeably better than a draught can pour and dare I say it, most pub tap pours! You won't believe me until you try it for yourself, and there will be people who think the difference isn't worth the price increase per can, but I think about it this way; if we buy into this latest gimmick, then the prices of the cans will surely decrease as they become the new norm and a solid/reliable revenue stream for the makers. At the moment though, it feels like most people are waiting for the price to come down before they buy them, but as far as I'm concerned, they should be cheaper than the draught cans regardless, because a nitro can requires no Co2 or widget! Still though, Guinness are entitled to cash in on their latest gimmick for a while. because it truly is a lovely pour! I hope that the more people who join team nitro, the cheaper the cans will eventually get. But, for those of us who don't want to pay for nitro cans, there is a little trick that works brilliantly and costs nothing... You can use regular Guinness draught cans with the Nitro Surge! Yep, the only thing you need is a pin and about 2-3 minutes of patience! Pierce the draught can's lid, right inside the ring pulls groove, wait about 2-3 minutes for the gas to fully escape, and then open it and attach it to your nitro surge as normal, and you'll notice no difference to a nitro can! There is a catch for us who only have access to the 440ml cans, in that you'll have to pierce a 2nd can and then continue the pour in order to get to a full pint, which is quite annoying but the good news is that pint draught Guinness cans are already out and are slowly making their way into our local supermarkets! Regardless of which method you use, the nitro surge definitely adds quality to your pint, and for around £25, it's a worthwhile investment for any Guinness drinker. I think it deserves my 5 star review, as I honestly can't fault it, but the nitro cans and the near double price tag is a whole different story!

Highly recommended
I have read numerous reviews on the web site criticising this product. In my opinion the gadget is a game changer. It’s the nearest to draft Guinness that you would get from a decent pub. Great head, smooth and tastes great. The cans are little expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for.

WOW! This thing is GREAT! Makes a CREAMY HEAD and there is NO tin can taste. Taste like I am in an Irish Pub. The "Trick" is to slowly release the gas in the can using a thumbtack to pierce a small hole in the top of the can. Keep the pin pushed all the way in and ease off a little at a time to release the pressure in the can. It has to be done "Slowly" so you do NOT activate the "Widget" in the can. After the pressure is released, open the can, place the Nitrosurge on the can, turn it on and pour. YUMMY!

Para usarlo con Guinness Draught, se obtiene una espuma con bastante cuerpo, muy aproximada a la obtenida en una pinta de barril.
