Some of the comments/answers questioned whether this rail would mount on a Savage Model 64 .22LR rifle (I love that rifle). It fits nearly perfectly. As you can see from the second photo, it fits over the curved top of the receiver, which has the 11mm width dovetail grooves. The rail has a curved rebate on the underside (at least my sample does). The rail is very solid, and seem high quality. The screws are solid, they to be high quality screws (that won't strip). It's small, light, and low-profile, which I wanted on this rifle. I can no longer use (standard) iron sights on rifles: My close vision is too poor to see the rear sight and if I put on my cheaters, I can't see the target clearly. A scope is the solution. I haven't had it out shooting yet (just mounted it up last night); but if I have any problems during or after shooting, I will report them back here and perhaps change my star rating. If I don't change the review, I haven't had any problems. (The scope is: Monstrum 2-7x32 AO Rifle Scope with Illuminated Range Finder Reticle and Parallax Adjustment (also purchased from Amazon). So far, this scope seems excellent and great bargain for the price.)

Well made, fit my rimfire rail perfectly

Very happy with this. I needed a temporary solution mounting an ATN X-Sight onto a BRNO Mod 2 .22LR rifle. Not the most elegant scope/rifle combination but it gets the job done. The dovetail on the rifle is 11mm, this rail opens up to a max of 20mm. Note that at this point there is zero meat on the thread. So I'd guess a safe dovetail mounting width would be around 16mm, giving you around 4mm of bite on the thread. The rail has plenty of space on it and is well worth the purchase. The only drawback is that the rail partially shields the ejection port, but a cut-away can be done if required. Measurements. 1) Dovetail Max width 11mm 2) Dovetail Min Width 9mm 3) Rail max width 20mm (The portion that fits point 1 above)

Needs a flat top dovetail to mount. Pic appeared to have a concave/curved bottom mount surface but it is completely flat. Will not mount on a round barrel dovetail. Nothing in description about only flat dovetail application. .

Nice airgun rail happy with my purchase

Used it on my Glenfield model 60. It's as long as the rail on an AR15 and with the over hang on the one end you can get a scope with short eye relief up close where ya need . Now I can use all the sights I have for my ARs on my 22 lr plinker. Does the job.

Received item model with only 3 mounting screws and it appeared to have been opened and installed before, possibly a returned item being resold. Was nothing wrong with item except it had been opened and used before and it was not the exact model pictured (with 4 screws). Contacted seller and they sent out the correct item quickly, and it was actually new and had not been opened. Great seller, item is great too, works as described. I added blue loctite to the mounting screws to help with recoil.

I noticed after mounting this base on a Benjamin Prowler, after ten or twelve shots, the base would creep backwards under recoil. The aluminum is soft and does not grip the rails firmly enough. I would not recommend this base for a break barrel air rifle.
