Great, but be wary of the battery life
Great mouse - very light and glides nicely. Lighting looks very good and comes with a nice braided cable. Haven’t tested the Bluetooth, as for the 2.4G mode it is very responsive and I feel no difference to my old wired mouse. It is easy to map the 3 extra buttons to whatever using the steelseries engine, as well as configure the lighting. The battery life is on the shorter side - it is clear they prioritised a lower weight over battery, as depending on usage and settings it can run out quickly. However it works perfectly well plugged in and charging. Lastly, this hasn’t been a problem for me but if crumbs or debris were to make it inside the mouse, to disassemble it and remove them you’d have to remove the mouse feet which from a repairability standpoint is disappointing, as battery replacements will similarly need to do this. Also if you’re left handed like I am, this mouse is almost symmetrical apart from the side buttons, so is suitable for left handed use.

Incredible mouse for £50 (sale)
Better than any wired mouse I have used. The Aerox 3 has a long lasting battery life, there's zero latency for me making it responsive and quick to use, the bluetooth connection is seamless and connects within a second or two of switching it on. Accurate when I used it with my PS5 to play video games, and all round a really lightweight and perfect mouse for the price.

Dominating Gameplay, But Beware the Battery Boast!
In the realm of gaming mice, the SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Snow (2022) stands out as a formidable contender, earning a solid 4-star rating. Its prowess in gaming performance, coupled with a comfortable design catering to various grip styles, makes it a noteworthy choice for gamers. However, a caveat looms in the form of a misleading battery life claim. The Aerox 3 excels in the gaming arena, boasting a responsive sensor and low latency, ensuring a seamless experience during intense gaming sessions. Its wireless capability, particularly through Bluetooth, adds a layer of convenience for those who prioritize cord-free gaming, however I do not use this and instead use their wireless dongle provided in the box. I recommend the Bluetooth connectivitiy for casual use, such as browsing the internet or working. Designed with comfort in mind, the mouse offers a satisfying grip, accommodating both palm and claw grip users. The well-thought-out shape and weight distribution contribute to a comfortable and precise control experience. Yet, the shine is somewhat dulled by a discrepancy in the stated battery life. While SteelSeries boldly declares a 200-hour battery life, this claim only holds true when utilizing Bluetooth. Those relying on the wireless dongle will find themselves reaching for the charger sooner, with a battery life of approximately 70 hours. Despite this hiccup, the SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Snow (2022) remains a top choice for gamers seeking a potent blend of performance and comfort. Its versatility in accommodating different grip styles ensures a broad appeal. Potential buyers, however, should be cautious and consider the actual battery life based on their usage patterns. If for example, your previous mouse was a Logitech G Pro Wireless or G303 (Shroud Edition) then the battery life will be extremely noticeable.

SteelSeries never disappoints
I used to be a massive, massive Logitech fanboy but when their quality started to take a nosedive some 10 years ago I kind of became a brand tourist so-to-speak.... I tried quite a few different brands of gaming peripherals before finally discovering SteelSeries. I tried Razer, I tried Corsair, I tried a few others but none came close to the quality I was used to with the older Logitech products. Not just in build quality but also just in design and practicality/ergonomics. SteelSeries is by far even better than my older Logitech products. Their software is better, their designs are better and their specifications are better. They also tend to have the most innovative products with features few other brands have. I have their magnetic keyboard and OMG what a beast of a keyboard, miles better than the mechanical keyboard I had from Corsair and Razer before. Well this mouse is no different, it is water resistant, it is lightweight, has a good battery life, a lot of customisation options in the SteelSeries software (with lighting, lighting effects, battery saver options vs high performance options, and button customisation among many other things). Sensor is great and works on pretty much any surface with or without mousepad and it is nice that it works on both wireless with dongle and bluetooth and also can just be used wired if you need to charge it while using it. Wired it works just like a wired mouse (not the case for all brands!!!) in my case the extension cable used to plug the dongle in is also my charging cable and I just unplug dongle adapter from it and plug it into the mouse. The mouse uses virgin PTFE skates which is very important and provides much less resistance than standard PTFE skates (when you've used both you notice the difference right away, substantially less drag to it and they last longer too) It also has a braided charging cable so even when using wired it feels very light and the cable isn't adding drag like a normal cable does.

First one broke after 2 months, second after 3 weeks. Fragile to say the least!
I ordered this for my son for his gaming computer and at first he was delighted - easy to set up and pair via Bluetooth to use wirelessly and the battery lasted for a long time before needing charging. It's also nice and light with the honeycomb body and has nice LED light features. However the first one stopped working after just 2 months in anything other than wired mode. If plugged in via the wire, the computer would recognize the mouse but the battery charge level was at 0% and stayed there despite being plugged in. I even tried charging it via a non-computer USB charging point in case it was a problem with the computer, but no joy, the wireless modes were dead because the battery wouldn't charge. Amazon were excellent and gave a full refund with a free return even though it was outside of the returns period, and I ordered an identical one as a replacement. Sadly this one broke after just 3 weeks where the small DPI button behind the scroll wheel stopped working and was stuck in. As this is something my son uses all of the time when playing different games it caused real problems for him when changing games. It could be changed manually through the software, but this is hardly the point - it shouldn't break after just 3 weeks of use. Once again Amazon gave a refund and this time I've ordered a Logitech G Pro Wireless instead, which although is 10g heavier, will hopefully last longer. It would seem to me that Steelseries have sacrificed any semblance of robustness in search of ultimate lightness. Possibly if you use it sparingly and/or very gently then it might last, but having had 2 break in less than 3 months doesn't inspire confidence in the build quality I'm afraid.

The mouse is fine but there are better options out there for the price!
So i brought this being my first "expensive" mouth. I usually opt for cheaper models which do the trick but got this on sale. The mouse looks amazing, whilst RGB looks nice, its weirdly not very present as the pictures show, the open grid top to the mouse really only leaves the bottom for RGB, the sides are devoid of this too. Don't get me wrong, it still looks decent but it wont be winning points for lighting, strange as its software lets you customise the colours very precisely, with a better design this could of been something great but moving on. The weight is as many say, a very light mouse, there is very little weight here, i don't mind, i don't need a heavy mouse but it is something to note to them who are on the fence and weight matters, this thing is like holding a empty coke can for weight, almost nothing there. The DPI setting (with rgb) can be customised and i recommend this, the basic offered settings are very slow and unresposive, this could be a subjective view after using fast (near instant) moving cursors but this certainly should be customised - fortunately, the software is very user friendly and no real setup is needed, just download and your item should be displayed. The Battery: The biggest reason i rated this a 3 is this, the battery seems to die pretty quick. I was using a mostly generic brand mouse which was maybe £20 (give or take £5) and at the end of its life i had to charge it every few days, this however just needs charging so much, i find myself charging it every second day, sometimes at the end of a day. The big issue though isn't just the bad battery, its the mouse just dies, no warning, just dies. My old one would flash its wheel read to alert you it was running out of juice, this thing? Nope your mouse just locks up and then (after it dies) the mouth blinks white - saving its final 5% battery to tell you its flat. This is not a good feature at all! Why tell me after it is flat? Whilst i mostly play controller, if i used this for games, i could only imagine the annoyance the mouse just dying would cause. So do i recommend this? Not really. Its fine if you want a pretty, stylish and feather light mouse to use but if your after a mouse which wont tell you its flat after going flat, maybe skip this one and looks elsewhere, there are much more better options for the price your paying here.

Favourite mouse release 2020
The Aerox 3 wireless is an incredible value for money buy, its not only one of the lightest wireless mice you can buy, it has one of the best shapes on the market and has battery to boot. The advertised battery life of 200 hours is in Bluetooth mode ONLY, which needs to be made more clear, however the actual battery life whilst using the 2.4GHz (which is recommended for gaming) is an incredible 80 hours of use which is the longest of all the lightweight wireless mice. Along side the huge battery it comes with USB-C fast charging, which not only gets you back in the game quickly it's also a high quality paracord like cable. This cable means it feels as close to wireless as possible, other, more expensive mice still use old thick rubber cabling which definitely hampers the experience whilst charging. The build quality is exceptional as per usual for Steelseries including an IP54 rating with 80m TTC Gold switches that are one my new favourites, no creaks with the shell, however the DPI button can be activated whilst unnaturally holding the top and bottom of the mouse and squeezing (I dont see any moment when you would hold a mouse like this), this cannot be reproduced by pushing on the mouse into a pad. A few areas where people have had problems with the Aerox is the feet included and the sensor placement, the feet shape is an unconventional circle, with one in each corner, there are reports of scratching and lint build up over time, I personally have experienced none of these problems and found them to have a great glide, being one of the best stock feet I've used. The sensor is also unconventional in it being placed back further than most, the one time I have noticed this being an issue is if you lift from the front first as it will track for slightly longer than normal due to the sensor staying closer to the pad for longer. Otherwise from general use I had no problems with tracking or flicking when compared to mice with a more conventional placement. Overall: If you love the rival 3 shape, you want wireless, you want lightweight, its a no brainer. If you have not tried the rival 3 and are unsure about the shape, its great for all grip styles, with a strength in claw and a good size for fingertip for all hand sizes, if you palm I can recommend it for smaller-medium hands, large hands may not find it wide enough. Grips and sizes aside, its a feature packed mouse, with great build quality and comparable specs to mice that are 1.5 times the price, at £100 its a steal.
