Excellent RAT Clone
Awesome clone of the RAT! I've not taken it a part to review the clipping switch, so I don't know if it only switches between clipping diodes OR if it also changes resistors/capacitors, but, it nails the sounds of three RAT pedals.Vintage will give you the silicon diodes for the "regular" RAT sound, LED clips with LEDs to give you the TURBO RAT sound and Dirty uses germanium diodes for the You Dirty RAT sound.Yes, germanium diodes have a lower forward voltage and clip sooner, so there is a volume loss, silicone is higher and is louder and LED is even higher so it's even louder. This is a GREAT pedal, the clipping switch hasn't gotten in my way and it sounds GREAT. Fantastic value for a well built pedal that KILLS.

A steal at the price.
You have three classic Distortion tones for pocket money. The three pedals bought new would run you $310 and they all sound good.Aside from a volume drop on the “Dirty” (Germanium) setting there is little to no major noise or disruption running it by itself into the front of an amp.I’m currently using the “Vintage” setting to help voice my lead channel, and the “Turbo” (that has genuine LED Clipping) as an alternate rhythm tone through the front of a Marshall DSL100HR.I’ve also ran it through the front of my Fender Blues Jr. Tweed loaded with a Paper Cone Jensen Speaker and by itself there was no need for a noise suppressor.Bottom line it sounds great, and is a steal for the money.Versatility? It’s a legendary Distortion bordering on Fuzz tone. So it’s pretty straightforward, but yeah you can dial in anything from Jeff Beck to David Gilmour to Trey Azagthoth who all use the Pedal this is modeled after.Sheerness? Uh… sure… it’s transparent in that you are going to get exactly what you want from this pedal if you are looking for “that sound” on a budget.

Sounds amazing with P-90s
This thing sounds AMAZING with P-90's. I now have my Weezer sound. One issue though, unity volume is at about 10 percent( about 9 0'clock. I don't know if that's just an issue with mine, but it would be nice to maximize my outpit without potentially blowing the amp.

Sounds just like it should
This is great. Know what a Rat sounds like? That’s what this sounds like. It’s quiet, it cleans up with volume roll-off, and it can cover a huge range thanks to the mode switch. Normal Rat is smooth and middy, turbo is brighter and gnarlier, and dirty can be a cool overdrive tone. Huge value for the price.

One of the best budget Rat clones
So I have tried many of the rat clones including Mooer, Joyo, Moskey Flamma, Donner, to name a few. This is the best of the bunch by a pretty decent margin, IMO, it sounds great, three modes, LED clip indicators which is very cool, and it is built like a tank. It's not a cheap micro pedal. This thing will last.If you're doing research and you're on the fence get this one. You will not be sorry.

Could be awesome, but ...
This is the first pedal I bought, and seemed like the perfect one. So many options, so many tones! Unfortunately, not all the tones sound great, and can be kind of muffled. I went with the mooer black secret instead plus a separate fuzz (in place of the Dirty setting) and prefer the sound quality in every way

Good pedal
To me, a pedal is just something to change up the sound of your instrument, when you want changes in your sound, then hook up a different pedal. I think a lot of people expect more from pedals than what they actually do. I own 45 pedals and my collection just keeps getting bigger, because I like different sounds....enjoy them for what they are. Little Bear is affordable, if you want to spend a couple hundred dollars on another pedal, then go ahead.

Eventually stopped working!/3 modes for $20 less then original
I didn't realize that the middle knob was filter, so if you don't already have a noise gate it's a welcome addition. So it's a good idea to place on the end of your board or last pedal before out to amplifier or receiver/recording device. This R.attack rat clone has an overdrive or whatever the turbo switch does plus vintage for essentially 3 modes and is STILL cheaper than the reproduction proco rat 2 by $20! This is a no brainer, so unless you're a purest it's an easy choice. Unless you have to own the original, which is a whole lot more expensive. Honestly don't understand sure you go on set iconic sounds but I'd rather go for newer more Reliable Parts since technology has changed drastically in 30 years easy.Sounds great and works great, can't complain.Update; no longer powers on! Just didn't want to turn on one day. 😢
