My son originally left his charger at his dad’s house with no way of getting it for when he was with me for the week. So we ordered a replacement to keep here and this works perfectly! If you're like me and in need of a replacement or additional charger and don't want to spend over $100 on the original, you are likely looking at a sea of replacement chargers made by over a dozen different manufacturers. Price points will range from $50~$70 and reviews will be just as varied and confusing. I've had my HP Omen laptop since 2020 and have purchased 3 chargers. The original burned out very recently from an aging charge port. After I replaced the charge port, I was in the market to purchase one more charger so that I can continue to have one at work and at home. I purchased a different brand this time around and then decided to check the voltage output on that one. I found that the 19.5V rated charger actually put out close to 22V which exceeds the 4% allowable variance. I checked the old one that I had been using for a couple of years and it too registered over 21V. I went ahead and returned the new purchase and gave this product a try. First one I purchased registered a hair over 19.5V, nearly perfect. So I went ahead and purchased a second one, it tested just a hair over 19.6V out of the box. Hopefully those will stay that way but it certainly gives me a good feeling about the product. By the way, my original battery did have to be replaced due to severe damage. It stopped holding a charge a few years ago and I can't help but think that it was due to the overly strong voltage from my previous aftermarket charger. For anyone in the market for one of these chargers, my advice would be for you to get a volt meter and test them before you start using them. As far as build quality, I have no complaints. One thing that I noticed is that the elbow piece coming off of the connector is actually better than perhaps the OE and certainly better than the other brand I had. very beefy and sturdy. Also comes with a slack clip as well as the velcro tie down.

It was good while it lasted. It hurts out over a few years after getting it.

These gaming laptop charging cords are hard to get sometimes. It is a replacement for the one I have that died. It also shipped much faster than I expected; that was wonderful!

We missed the product malfunction window by less than a month! The cord first wouldn't register a charge when used in certain buildings or outlets and then three days ago we heard sparking and looked over and the plug was smoking in the outlet! It almost melted out one of the prongs. There must have been a manufacturing problem with the order of the wires which caused it to fry. We would love a replacement ASAP.
