I purchased this before heading onto a cruise ship. Small seas and I still got nauseous wearing this. It also doesn’t charge after hours of charging it. Waste of money, stick with sea sickness tablets as they work better! I wish I could get my money back!!

Reliefband isn't perfect, but it makes a huge difference in my ability to ride in a vehicle without getting a headache or nausea after the first 20 minutes. I found that the wristband works without gel if I just exhale some warm air between the contacts and my skin as I'm putting it on, to give it some moisture for conductivity. I've been using the band without gel for the past 2 years, often multiple times per day. I wear it whenever I ride in a car, bus, train, airplane, or other moving vehicle. For years I've had motion sickness that causes headaches and mild nausea when I ride in a vehicle. It was never to the point of vomiting, but that's partly because I'm so terrified of vomiting that I would rather get out of the vehicle and be stuck sitting on the side of the road for a few hours while I recover, rather than continue riding and feeling sick. Sometimes I would ride in a car for 30 minutes and be fine, but other times I would happen to be looking down or behind me as the car started moving, and I would immediately feel a bit sick. I couldn't look at my phone at all while in a vehicle, and even if I'm riding in an elevator and I try to look at a picture on someone's phone, I'll have a mild headache for the next hour. Before Reliefband, I started avoiding riding in vehicles whenever possible (to the point of missing fun activities on vacation because I was terrified that riding in a bus would make me feel sick), and I would constantly ask my partner to drive absurdly slow around corners, to the point that another friend (who also has motion sickness) started begging us to go faster or it would take all day to drive up the curvy mountain road. Now I wear the Reliefband anytime I'm riding in a moving vehicle (even if only taking the subway for 5 minutes), and it makes a huge difference. Most of the time, I'm completely fine, even after riding in a train for 2 hours while working on my laptop the whole time. There are some times when it's not perfect, like one time when I rode in a fast Lyft on a curvy mountain road for 30 minutes, and I felt kind of sick afterward despite wearing the Reliefband. These days, if I know I'm going to be subjected to something like that, or if I'm going to be riding in vehicles all day, I'll often take Dramamine Less-Drowsy (Meclizine) because the Reliefband isn't perfect. Some reviewers have complained that the tingling in your hand is annoying, but personally I find it calming, because the mild tingling sensation reassures me that the Reliefband is working to protect me against motion sickness. I usually use it on setting 2 or 3 (out of 6). The only issue I've had with the physical device (Reliefband Sport) is that when I use it on a long flight (3000+ miles), sometimes it develops an air bubble under the button as if there's air trapped inside and it's expanding due to pressure change. The issue resolves within a day after the flight, but I still found it a bit concerning, so I switched to using a non-waterproof Reliefband Classic for air travel. The Reliefband Sport is much more comfortable (you can adjust it to the exact diameter of your wrist, the velcro is easy to use, and there are no metal wires holding the band to the watch head), but both of them otherwise work well. The Reliefband is pricey, but it's absolutely worth it. For the improvement in quality of life that it gives me -- to be able to ride in a vehicle without feeling vaguely sick for the next few hours after, or having a headache for the rest of the day -- I would pay even 5x as much if I had to.

I purchased this Reliefband at the last minute right before a trip because I was worried about motion sickness. I had heard great things about the product, so was eager to try it. The unit I received would not charge no matter what I tried (different outlets, etc.). I contacted Reliefband's customer service through their website and they said it might be an issue with the charging cord and they sent me a replacement, which was nice. But I didn't receive the cord before my trip, so I wasn't able to use it. Once I did receive the replacement cord, I tried it and the unit still will not charge at all. Since Amazon does not accept returns for this item NO MATTER WHAT, I am stuck with something that does not work and I cannot use. This was a tough lesson to learn and cost quite a bit of money. I'm honestly surprised that they can't make an exception for something that simply doesn't work. I also contacted the company directly through their website about a return, but they can't do anything since the purchase was made through Amazon; I am at the mercy of Amazon's strict return policy. If you want to try one of these and you don't have to order it on a quick timeline, go directly through Reliefband's website because they offer a 14-day money back guarantee.

I have suffered from severe motion sickness and vestibular migraines for my entire life, to the point that even going to the movies, doing certain yoga moves or being on a swing with my son would induce nausea followed by weeks of a vestibular migraine. Dramamine was the only thing that allowed me to get on planes or ride in the back seat of a car, but the cost was sedation. I bought the Relief Band Premier 2 years ago for a trip overseas, and what a game changer! No problems on planes or even busses in the mountains. I keep it with me at all times in case I unexpectedly have to ride in the back seat or run into other triggers. We recently decided to go to Greece, where we would be spending time on a friend’s sailboat. This would have been unthinkable for me before Relief Band. I bought a 2nd one, out of fear of what could happen if I lost the 1st one, or the charge ran out at a crucial time, etc, this time purchasing the Sport version. Loved it and throughly enjoyed cruising the Ionian Sea! In fact, I ended up feeling better than my friends that don’t typically have motion sickness!! Comparing the 2 watches, I like the Premier for its 10 settings as compared to the Sport’s 5. But, I loved the Sport version as it is easier to adjust the strap to fit my wrist, and the charger stays attached a bit better. Both hold a charge well, each being capable of lasting a full 10 hour plane ride at the highest setting without running out. And FYI, any conductor gel will work. I HIGHLY recommend!!
