It does the job of removing burrs on your wire ends and giving them a nice, professional look. Honestly, I prefer the battery operated version.

Will this work on hard wire? I have 22g surgical steel.

This works on Silver and Copper Soft and Half Hard. It would be better to use the appropriate metal files to shape steel.
