Don't Let Name Recognition Cause You To Skip These
Upon opening the box the first thing we noticed was how "Nice" the boots look. They definitely make a good first impression. My husband immediately starting putting them on as I looked over the manufacturer's information. The manufacturer's information and description: * Wide profile NatureForm steel toe provides protection without sacrificing comfort * Liquid-resistant leather upper with TECtuff toe and heel bumpers help prevent cuts and abrasions * AT outsole is slip-resistant, heat-resistant up to 572 °F (300 °C) (resistant to mineral oils, acids, alkalies, animal fat) * All-Terrain Dual Density Soling Technology combines a soft, shock-absorbing rubber midsole with a high-density, durable rubber outsole * Recommended use: construction, manufacturing, farm and equestrian, general purpose My hubby wears a size 10. Unlike our experience with several similar boots - this size 10 fits perfectly, so they are true to size. There's more rubber on the soles of these boots than on my car tires. There's Lots of extra padding, strategically placed for maximum comfort. But he quickly grew quite fond of the raised web-like material that covers the insole. It took some getting used too, because you can feel it through your socks. After the third day, wearing the boots on a new construction job site, in 97° weather, this became his favorite aspect of the boot. This webbed material allows air to circulate inside, keeping your feet cooler and helping to prevent odors. My husband didn't think it was possible to enjoy wearing a steel toe work boot. He always dreaded putting his work boots on- those who wear them everyday will understand. The steel toe felt like it was digging into the top of your toes and there was never enough toe room. Not true with the Oliver 55! There's plenty of toe room and absolutely "No Digging!" Even in harsh working conditions these boots look like they will out last many of their competitors. These boots are stylish and attractive, provide the necessary safety and all without compromising comfort! If you have to wear steel toe boots to work, you should definitely gives these a test drive. I was hesitant because I didn't know the brand. Don't let name recognition cause you to skip by these. We've said bye-bye to achy work feet and you can too! I recommend these boots without reservation. ***This review was written after wearing the boots daily for 27 days. (A minimum of 9 hours a day) If anything changes, they fail in any way, I will update this review with the new information.

Three Stars
No padding on the heel. Top arche very tight. Going back to wearing Dickies that were half the price.

Wait and see only 45 days old
The boots are lightweight and fairly comfy. I still plan on treating the leather because it doesn’t repel water as well as described. I work in public works so all around they have been great but during our leaf collection my heals were a little irritated but there is also a lot of movement going on during that event. Want to see if they stand the test of time and if so I will buy again

Worth every bit the Money
Honestly 5 stars. I've had these for a couple weeks now and they are very comfortable. There is also a nice feature I've never seen on a boot. The third clasp down from the top, where the bend is, has a lace "pinch" is what I'm going to call it. This allows you to pull the boot tight then it locks the lace so you can leave the top as loose as you like and the boot stays tight. Because the boot does come up higher than I really like this feature is a leg saver. Oh and the ESD does work so if you are an electrician don't buy these. Update: 3 months in and still very comfortable. Update: 2.5 years and still very comfortable. ESD still works without fail, the tread is fairly worn now, but still waterproof, and there are no holes anywhere...and I do wear these daily. Still 5 stars!

Highly recommended
These are super comfortable and well made. The lace locks take a bit of getting used to but definitely not a big deal. The ones i received were made in China. Frankly i dont care where they were made. They fit and are super comfortable without me having to buy an aftermarket insole. I work 10 hour days and after about 3 days all hot spots were gone. The stitching on the uppers is kevlar which is great for me as a metal fabricator. This is typically the first place to fail on my lace up boots in the past. Passed the 1 year daily wear mark. Traded out the insoles and replaced shoe-strings. The rest of the boot is still in good working condition, though they certainly show signs of wear. 16 months in still in decent shape. Still wear daily. No holes in leather or soles. On third insole. Still the most comfortable boot i have ever worn. Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommended.

Very high quality boot
Really nicely made. My feet are a little wide just at the toe knuckles but normal otherwise. I usually have difficulty finding a good fit. These fit great from the start. No pressure at the knuckle area. Good room for my toes. Nicely padded inside. It is a fairly heavy boot but most of that is because of the amount of high quality sole, cushion, and leather.
