Great for weather studies
I bought this to go along with our sexond grade homeschool Real Science Odyssey text and workbook. We were supposed to make the different parts for a weather station ourselves out of cardboard: windvane, rain guage, anemometer, etc., but we found our homemade ones too fragile to hold up in our climate. This little weather station did the trick! I think it was money very well spent, especially as it was available via Prime and saved our lesson plan when our homemade stuff dissolved in the monsoon season of 2018! When we received this, my seven year old daughter was instantly drawn to the colorful packaging. She couldn't wait to start putting it together. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. I helped a bit, but I bet she could've figured it out by herself. She loved the little cardboard "weather tracker". I read aloud the insert that explained each part of the kit. She had already started to learn about meteorology tools, but I think the repetition helped her. It was well written and age appropriate. We set this up on our widow's walk and had a wonderful time tracking weather for a month. I read other reviews that talk about it being flimsy, but I did not have any trouble (we've had a few thunderstorms). We used it daily for a month and nothing broke or even faded during that time. I'm happy to have found this. We wouldn't have been able to finish our weather unit without it. I recommend this for homeschoolers, budding meteorologists, or any curious child.

Great
Great little kit for our homeschool meteorology unit. We ziptied it to our back porch and it has held up great. The rain gage did break when it rained and then froze that night. The top funnel part kind of neatly popped off so I super glued it back on and it is still going strong. My son loves to check it all the time!

Students loved this!!
This is such a cool idea!! Everything you need for a mini weather station!! My students loved it!! However, be aware that it is FRAGILE. Maybe rigid plastic is to blame, but we had to repair it a few times with super glue. That said, it will be fun for educational purposes when studying weather!!!

Meh
This wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. It had everything included, but it was super tiny! If it would've been bigger, I would be happier, but it's hard to read as is. Not too much reading involved though.

The best little model for teaching about weather!
I purchased this not expecting much for the price. I read other reviews on how flimsy it it. OMG! I was so surprised! This is the best little weather station! I am careful, as I am with all my teaching 'toys', that it is handled carefully (I'm teaching preschool aged kids). They learned the names and purposes of all the tools on this little station. It also comes with a card so they can follow the card and 'report' the weather like a pro! Could not recommend higher!

Nice starter weather lab
Grandson enjoyed this weather lab. We tied it to the porch rail thru the holes in the ends. Identifying and Learning about cloud formations a plus!

Very cute!
This is definitely a toy, but worthy of the price. Our grandchildren had a great time learning about this with Grandpa. Not sure how long it will last in the hands of 6-, 4-, and 2-year olds, though.

Nice idea, poor quality.
The pieces are poor quality, and they don't work properly. The wind gauge doesn't spin when it is obviously windy outside. The rain gauge doesn't work at all. And the pieces keep falling off. Overall, not worth my money.

Expensive.

Extremely cheaply made! The wind indicator keeps falling off, the rotator DOES NOT mesure wind speed, and the compass doesn't work either! Could have built a better kit with dollar-store items for the cost of 6-7 bucks!

I think it's a nice item for kids because kids can actually use it outside in different weather showing them wind speed and wind direction and temperature, we didn't try the rain collector yet. They seem to like it.
