I had to go into my router settings and turned out I had 2.4 and 5ghz. All I did was rename one of them so I knew I was connecting to the right frequency and it worked first time. Just open web browser and enter the IP address of your router (192.168….

Q: Does this plug into the wall or run off batteries?

The unit is connected via a USB cable to a supplied USB transformer/13A plug. This is the supplied PSU, therefore you could plug it into a 13a outlet that incorporates a USB outlet or if needed to run on batteries use an emergency solar charge power pack with USB out.

Q: My device keys going offline, which means we can't track or adjust it without turning it on and off again. What can I do?

Sounds like its loosing internet connection. I would move it closer to your internet router and test if the same issue happens, if it doesn't buy a wi-fi extender to service your Catit feeder.

Q: I am considering buying this cat feeder but want to know if the food would fail to be dispensed if the internet failed or the feeder lost connection?

Catit reply to the question:- "If you have successfully set up a feeding plan when your internet connection was still live, the feeder will continue to serve meals as scheduled, even when the internet is down." and it does have battery back up for over 50 hours. BUT a very big downside to this item is the apparent unavailability of the Desiccant pads required every 30 days to keep the food safe/fresh. These are not shown on Catit web site and so far they haven't replied to requests for info etc. I would strongly recommend that you contact Catit BEFORE purchase to ensure the unit is still safe to use after the first 30 days (ie pads available) or it is a very very expensive purchase. Other than this big problem the unit works well and there have been no other problems with its operation or the use of the app.
