Powering Convenience: Wasserstein PoE Adapter for Google Nest Cam Review
The Wasserstein PoE Adapter for Google Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor is a must-have accessory for anyone looking to enhance the functionality of their Nest Cam. As a Nest Cam user, I was intrigued by the idea of utilizing Power over Ethernet (PoE) to streamline the power supply for my cameras, and this adapter did not disappoint. Setting up the adapter was a breeze, thanks to its plug-and-play design. I simply connected it to my existing Ethernet cable and then to my Nest Cam, and voila! My camera was up and running with a reliable power source in no time. The adapter seamlessly integrates with the Nest Cam, providing a stable power connection that eliminates the need for frequent battery changes or worrying about power outages. One of the standout features of this adapter is its versatility. Whether you have a Nest Cam Outdoor or Indoor model, this adapter is compatible with both, making it a convenient option for all Nest Cam users. The sleek and compact design ensures that it doesn't clutter up the camera setup and can be easily hidden from view. I also appreciate the durability and quality construction of the Wasserstein PoE Adapter. It feels robust and well-made, giving me confidence that it will withstand the elements and continue to deliver consistent power to my camera for years to come. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the Wasserstein PoE Adapter for Google Nest Cam. It has simplified my camera setup, eliminated the hassle of battery changes, and provided me with peace of mind knowing that my Nest Cam will always have a reliable power source. If you're a Nest Cam user looking to upgrade your setup, this adapter is definitely worth considering.

Works Perfectly With Nest Cameras — Easy PoE Solution!
I picked up this PoE adapter to power my Nest cameras and it works exactly as advertised. Setup was straightforward — I plugged in the PoE injector, connected the Ethernet to the camera, and instantly had both power and data over a single cable. No extra power bricks, no messy power outlets near each camera.

Works with Google Cameras
Works great for Google Cam Battery, I have two versions and still no issues yet. I haven’t had issue with this company’s products before though. Ordered solar powered panels for camera before and lasted for a long time.

Failed in Under Two Weeks Despite Professional Installation
This PoE adapter was installed by a licensed electrician in my attic as part of a clean, permanent setup for a Google Nest Cam. Less than two weeks after installation, the adapter completely failed and stopped delivering power to the camera. This was not a DIY install, not exposed to the elements, and not subject to improper handling. The wiring, PoE source, and camera were all verified as functioning correctly. Once the adapter was removed, the issue was isolated to this unit. For a product marketed as a reliable power solution and priced at a premium, this level of failure is unacceptable. You should also be aware that my purchase was a replacement for another identical unit that failed after 3-4 years of use. The most frustrating part is that this adapter is intended specifically to avoid battery dependency and frequent maintenance. Having it fail almost immediately defeats the entire purpose, especially when it is installed in a hard to access location like an attic. Replacing it now requires additional labor and time, not just swapping a cable. While the concept is good on paper, reliability is critical for security equipment. Based on this experience, I cannot trust this adapter for long term or permanent installations. I would strongly caution anyone considering this product for anything other than short term or easily accessible setups.

Works good but expensive
It’s pretty good and working perfectly for me, I just don't know why the plugging head is so big. Also it’s not cheap.

Works perfectly and keeps my camera always powered
I bought the Wasserstein PoE Adapter for my Google Nest Cam (battery), and it’s been a great upgrade. It keeps my camera continuously powered, so I don’t have to worry about recharging anymore. The connection is stable, setup was simple, and it looks clean with my existing setup. If you want a reliable way to power your Nest Cam without battery hassle, this adapter is definitely worth it.

Working great!
Bought these 2 years ago and still going strong. I thought one wasn't working with charging my camera but found out it was a bad POE injector.

We used this product to replace IP cameras with Nest at the customers request. The new Nest cameras are tricky with power, these did a great job powering and making them run right out of the box.

Item works as expected, but there is a lack of information on what type of POE injector you need. There isn't even a mention in the instructions in the box! I can confirm you will need a 48V POE injector.

I've been running PoE cameras on my LAN 24/7 using the 8-year-old Trendnet TPE-S44 PoE switch. Decided to power my new Google Nest Camera (2nd Gen, outdoor battery) with it, and it's been flawless – just plug and play. You do need the right PoE switch or injector that supports IEEE 802.3af at 48V DC (15W per port). The Nest cam shows infinity battery on Google Home app. However, there are a few drawbacks. The size is quite large, if you're aiming to fit it inside a security camera junction box, you will be disappointed. Additionally, it tends to run pretty warm as it down-volts from 48V to 5V. Still good if you are replacing existing PoE camera coz you can reuse the Cat5/6 cable. But keep in mind, RJ45 isn't weatherproof. It would be 5 stars if they redesign this to make it smaller to fit inside a junction box.

Finally this is available in the UK so that power over ethernet can be delivered to the new gen Nest camera. Works well, haven't had a hitch. Requires PoE injector and a network cable (not included).
