Keeps Our Silver Looking Like New
We have a lot of silver pieces at home, and the Hagerty Silversmiths' Silver Wash has been one of the best products we’ve used. It cleans beautifully, leaves the silver shining, and the results last a long time. It does take a bit more time than silver wipes, but the deeper clean makes it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for maintaining real silver.

Excellent Polish for Antique Silver
I highly recommend this polish. I have quite a bit of antique silver and am always looking for a polish that will keep it shining without stripping off the patina. For years, I have been using a cream polish that works well, but it is messy. I volunteer at a charity consignment shop; they use Hagerty foam to polish silver for sale and I was impressed with how well it worked and how easy it was to use. When I went to order some for myself, I saw this and decided to try it instead. I highly recommend it. This made polishing my silver was so quick and easy. It rinses off clean with no residue. The silver is left with a warm beautiful sheen. The trick I discovered is to add enough warm water to work into a foam--it does not work well as a cream., and buff the pieces afterwards with a clean microfiber cloth. I keep most of my silver pretty clean, so there was not a lot of tarnish. To really test this polish, I took out an old sterling compact that had been stuck in a drawer and had turned completely black. It took a little more foam and rubbing but the shine quickly returned.

Wow!!
I have used a liquid silver jewelry cleaner in the past and have not had some success with several tarnished pieces. This paste is amazing! I used it in conjunction with a silver polishing cloth I purchased and together I was shocked. It has returned several pieces of jewelry to their new state. I highly recommend it.

Less polishing because silver is protected for longer time.
I have used this brand of silver polish for many years. I have found it is different from other silver polishes because it has an additive that keeps silver from tarnishing for a longer time.

Cheaper than Maas and seems to work as well on silver
I used this to polish my silver euphonium. It seems to have less aggressive grit than the Maas International Metal Polish Can, 1.1-Pound I was using before. So that means less noticeable scratches, but slightly more work to polish it. I did not use the 'wash' method with water - I just applied it and wiped/polished it off. The horn came out nice and shiny and I expect it will resist tarnish for 4-6 months like the Maas did. And Hagerty's is cheaper.

Easy and Very Effective
This is a great silver polish. It works exactly as the instructions say. Wet a sponge or cloth, use it to apply a bit of the polish to your silver, lightly wash the silver with it as you would wash a dish with a soapy wash cloth, then rinse it off. The tarnish disappears almost immediately upon application. Buffing lightly afterwards as directed isn't necessary to remove tarnish, but it does bring out a very good shine. A pleasant surprise is how much polish is in the jar. Since very little is needed I think there's enough here for quite a lot of cleaning. The product is a bit like a copper and brass cleaner called Twinkle that works great on those metals, or like a 'rouge,' not a cream or paste. It therefore doesn't run or drip off. It doesnt have the terrible harsh smell of most polishes, either.

Thumbs up from a professional jeweler
I make and sell handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, and I use this product on a daily basis in my own work as well as recommending it to customers who ask me how to maintain their jewelry. This mild product is safe to use on even soft gemstones, and easily removes tarnish from even the most blackened of silver. Simply apply a small amount of the paste with your fingers and rub gently until the paste turns black with removed tarnish, then rinse in water. Your piece will be left clean and shining. Despite the fact that I use this product more often than the average consumer, one 19-ounce container lasts me for many months. I use Hagerty Silversmiths' Wash on all of my sold pieces before packaging and shipping them to their buyers, so that my products arrive with a fresh, brilliant shine. I also use it on my personal jewelry collection with great success. There are many tarnish removers on the market, but this is the only one I trust to remove tarnish easily without harming soft stones such as turquoise, lapis, and pearls.
